lol People acted shocked this happened , Bo was from Ohio , played football at Miami of Ohio under Woody Hayes and coached at Ohio State during the early 60's . lol I posted a pic on the Michigan facebook page of OSU players picking Bo up and carrying him when he was an assistant @ Ohio State , he was wearing a black woody hayes style OSU cap . NOT ONE Michigan fan realized it was Bo , instead they told me to get off their page and take that sucky coach with me . hahahah

So many of our fans here in Michigan were crying we need a Michigan Man to coach our team again! The truth is, the best of our coaches over Michigan Football history have not been from Michigan or the University, just like Bo. I liked the story I heard about Bo under Woody. @TheDarremac Part 4. Before the game, we loudly booed Woody when he came onto the field but everyone was smiling. We really never hated him as much as we claimed. I was in the U of M student section when 1 very drunk & stupid OSU fan carrying a OSU flag tried running into our section. He & his flag immediately disappeared. Shortly after, I saw him lifted by the fans and passed upwards to the top of the stadium! I always wondered what they did with him when he reached the top??? :D

To those fellow Michigan fans, I grew up on the Ohio State side of the rivalry, my father played under Woody in the early 1970s and was recruited by both Woody and Bo. To those Buckeye fans that understand the rivalry, we were deeply saddened by Bo's passing, he was a good man, and an amazing coach. We miss him dearly, some of the fans are classless, but you have that anywhere. To UM fans, I simply say, Rest in Peace Bo, the world is a lesser place without you.

Bo recieved something in the horseshoe that day, that was once vowed would never happen again, since the days of ol 98, a standing ovation to a Michigan man. You talk about an absolute honor? That's more impressive than any trophy or coaching award IMO. Buckeyes dont just give away that kind of respect to a Michigan man, that type of respect is earned. The same respect was earned on the track & field at AA on May 25th 1935, and is still commermorated on his plaque today, the great Jesse owens..

I think Bo and Woody made the game of football better and I respect both the Michigan and Ohio state programs there is nothing like The Game in all of sports. When Woody died the Detroit News had a large picture of him and I remember cutting it out and hanging it up on the bulletin board at my office. Those fans I worked with had no problem with that. But comparing Bo and Woody is apples and oranges.

I've been to many OSU/MICH games, Ohio State fans aren't what people make them. I'm a Michigan fan and I'm friends with a few OSU fans, when the rivalry is over were back to being friends. The OSU/MICH Rivalry is a special one, a OSU fan or a MICH fan well tell you that.
