WRONG. You don't know your history too well. Look up the French-Indian war (1775-1762). The Canadians DROVE OUT THE FRENCH army so that the french would not invade them OR the americans and then the CANADIANS helped the americans win the revolution.

Yeah unfortunetly Irish soldiers don't get as much recognition, since Ireland stayed neutral many Irish lads would travel, some even walk to dublin and then to Britain so they could fight the Nazi's, my Great grandad was one, they fought under the British banner so when people talk about the British troops they tend to include the Irish soldiers who fought to.

what probably would have happened is russia would eventually have defeated germany and continued on into the rest of europe and atempt to do what hitler did. so the war would basically have been changed instead of fighting germany to fighting russia. britain managed to prevent invasion and if it were not for that, the us would have had no platoform for invasion.
