When you are changing the value of the POT,don't use anything metal to adjust it,as this interfering with the POTs resistance levels, use something non metalic to get better adjustments.
RC0 works mean your ADC is working, if you use the Microchip PicKi2 low pin demo board, means you have to add a switch to RA1 pins as shown on the PICJazz 16F690 schematic, because RA1 pin is use to change the motor direction; on the PicKit2 low pin only have one switch that connect to RA3, let's make this work first.
Thanks for your comment, The board is slightly different with PicKit2 low pin count demo board, but the Potentiometer connection is the same (RA0), the different is in the user switch which connected to RA1. You could try to change the PWM frequency if the duty cycle is not work on your motor.
less music and some narration would be a good start

Nice, but can you put a white dot or something to better see the rotation in the video? Its hard to tell what the motor is doing...

Thanks for the reply!
Today I purchased a few resistors and transistors for the full H-Bridge.
I have it all wired as indicated in the diagram.
RC0 Beacon works --blinks faster as the POT turns..
However the direction of the motor keeps changing every 1/2 second or so....faster when the POT is turned.
The motor speed does not change...
I have only limited experience with programming so I don't know where to look

Best tutorial I've found.
I had this working in about half an hour. With PicKit2 Low pin count demo board. (same thing?)
Strange thing is... When the POT is turned, i have no change in duty cycle... but direction keeps changing

very nice :) now lets see you add a keypad to dial in the speed.
