P.S. Nope, the longer the hair is doesn't make it necessarily easier, because you'll have a ton of left-over hair you somehow have to stuff into the roll :P Still, I'm intrigued.

I have never been able to do a French twist that didn't look stupid from some angle, also, I have never been able to secure my FT attempts with a hairstick. After I sorted out what do to with my left hand, it was a breeze!!! Thank you!

I know that this probably might not get seen, but if it did it would be AWESOME. I want to know if there's a way to do this with shorter hair. My hair is about to my shoulders or an inch or two longer, and when I tried this I couldn't get it to work right, it always fell out, or I couldn't get the Bobby-pin to stay in my hair, and I would just end up losing it in a mess of hair falling down the back of my neck. Sometimes I couldn't even grab my hair to get the twist right.

My hair is about the same lenght as yours, has layers and is shorter at the bag -.-' so it's even harder to do it.

but I would suggest doing it with second day hair, so you have more texture in your hair an it won't fall off that easy. or you can use some kind of mouse in you hair if you wash your hair everyday like me.

When you twist it, try not to use your hands, but your finger, so it's a smaller twist.

If all that doesn't work, you can still tease your hair and spray some hairspray in it and then twist it, so your hair will stay in place :)

That is awesome! there is also one more super simple way. Set up like you did, pull it back in a low pony tail, then twirl it. Like just keep twisting it, one way or the other and as it gets tighter it will twist up in to the french roll. you can either let the ends hang out fun funky or you can tuck them in. When I get a chance I'll do a vid for you to show what I mean :)
