Hip-hop isn't that bad, it's an evolution of the music born in a certain community. Just as the reggae did.

I don't really like it because what rappers do can be boring, but the genre is legitimate!

I'll do the same remark for pop, I love bands such as Radiohead, they're good musicians whatever you'll say. Even biggest bands like Queen have made pop!

In the end, you can blame the bands for doing something not interesting to you (and I OFTEN do so), not the genre :)
