  • I don´t like overweight kids being picked on, but I don't feel bad for overweight people who are worried about their weight. I have so much trouble not ending up like a damn stick figure and meanwhile there's people being depressed because they can't stop shoving all that food up their mouths.

  • is this mr. rogers brother?

  • im a overweight 15 year old my self.. 5 feet 11 inches tall 247 pounds.. and i think food is the main problem the fatty unhealthy foods and the games children play.. like right now people play on computers and xbox and stuff just sitting around plus the eating. and its also genes tbh. im overweight but im not huge..

  • @gamer1337omg Do you work with kids as part of your job? Do you have to make accommodations for overweight kids?

As for your comments, why are you so offended? I'm welcome to write my opinions, and if you don't like it, too bad. Since you live outside the USA, it's none of your business anyway.

  • haha listen to this silly gay white guy talking shit, u can tell by his voice and the way hes sitting that hes gay. only faggots talk like him

  • Rock on aslara!

  • Here's some ideas:

    1. Stop serving processed foods in school lunches.

    2. Ban soda machines from schools.

    3. Ban processed-food advertisements from targeting children.

    4. Put a tax on video games.

    5. Allow individual states and cummunities to tax soda and sweets.

  • is sasa bad for you

  • oj is just as bad as soda

  • This crap about vending machines needs to stop. If they want kids to choose OJ over soda, then make the cost help them choose. When I was still in high school, OJ was 50 cents more than a soda. OJ was $1.50. Coming from a low income family, I had to get the pop because it cost less (got $2.00 a day for lunch and school lunch was $5.00). It was vending machines or nothing. I'd rather eat from the machines than go hungry.

Just as a side note, I currently weigh 121 lbs and I'm 22 yrs old. Not fat.

  • To all of you, who are ranting how cruel is to insult obese people-please, stop thinking, that is always with the purpose to make them feel bad.No, it is not.But what do you expect-to say bravo to them for being fat? Most obese people are obese because if their unhealthy habits.Maybe they should not being insulted but we must not lie to them either. To lie to them that everything is fine would be hypocricity.Being fat is not good for health. So please don rant how cruel we are to them.

  • childhood obesity should not be the problem of the government. If parents would actually take a initiative in their children's lives then they could fix the problem.

  • I agree with oslo123123. Americans are so obsessed with sugar that everything you eat has more than 20grams of it in EVERYTHING. Japanese food, and European food have little to no sugar at all. We also advertise food up the butt it is awful. Instead of advertising food so much we should advertise weight loss more like Japan. It is sad, sick, and just horrible.

  • @Ambidextrous224 Precisely. There's a whole bunch of fight with FAT, but sugar is as much a culprit. Sugar is added everywhere and is the spearhead of reduced activity as it reduces the metabolism, processed sugars being easy to digest and absorb. Then healthy good foods without processed sugars cause sugar craves and lowers energy! Vile thing.

  • @Ambidextrous224

European food has little to no sugar in it? They sell the same sweets, coka cola and other drinks, redbull...you name it. They also eat tonn of pasta, rice....potatochips etc etc.

People in europe are getting fatter and fatter, and its all due to lazy people and fast food.

  • Its so fucking digusting looking at obese people that for sure had a choise to be fat or "fit". Nr1. problem in America is ALL THE god damn sugar that is being served. Everything that America makes has a lot more sugar that average Europeen food(a cake for ex.) Nr2. Not enough activity on the school,, as well as the food being served there is SHIT. Come to Norway where we eat bread and drink milk. = AMERICA is getting overall obese.... DISGUSTING

  • Thousands of people suffer from obesity. Millions of people worry how they would get their next meal.

  • @sychkid "suffer" from obesity?

  • @sychkid starving people should eat the fat people

  • I don't want to be told what to do with my food. I am not fat, and I love nothing but candy and starch. Its not the Governments role to keep us healthy. Its ours. What next? Mandatory jogging? Then uniforms?

  • The problem isn't what we eat, its how much. Adults don't need more then one meal. The problem is something else. I used to steal money from moms purse and by all the candy and sugar pop I could eat when I was a small kid. But I was thin. I think people are starting to think its OK to be fat. Maybe thats the problem.

  • anyone realize that Dextrose is a natural chemical in the body"its a form of sugar", when you mix it with corn setup you get highfructosecornsyrup with is in all most every thing you eat.

  • hahahaha and people worry about there being too many skinny role models

  • People have bee eating saturated fats for millions of years, that is not the problem. The answer is simple, we need to live our life like our ancestors did. Eat natural foods, and move as much as they did.Our ancestors didnt have cars, computers, sedentary jobs or processed foods. Eat unprocessed foods, whatever they are, and increase your activity level to that which our great grandparents did. Act like them and you will look like them.

  • Who would want to look like people did in the 1950's??? they looked like they were 50 by the time they were 30. No way.

  • nice sweater, grandpa

  • Why does this guy fail to name the so called studies regarding this subject? Nice bit of anekdotal evidence though.

  • Okay overweight means over the normal weight for your height and age. Being overweight doesn't necessarily make you fat. Also, some of the kids in this video were not (did not look) fat.

When Gym class is a bunch of jocks teasing everybody else, why else would kids try and get out of there in high school?

  • that is such bs. people like you are turning america into a bunch of pansies. you can't even play dodgeball in school because it hurts kids feelings. I'll bet you're overweight.

  • I agree that obesity is a serious problem, but not all kids who are overweight are lazy pigs. I know a girl who is 5'10 and 140 pounds she is slender, just big boned. Charts told her she was overweight, but doctors told her different. Point is, everybody is different from genes to metabolisms to skin color.

Turning America into pansies? Because I'm against bullying and teasing about how someone looks? Let someone's appearance be up to them.

Oh, and we still played dodgeball at my school.:)

  • well your first part makes sense but dont you think that jocks teasing kids for there wight would make them want to lose it not gain it, also in my gym class i knew a girl who is over wight and she never got teased and she would make up bullshit so she did not have to run or do anything and then she would sit there, im over wight myself but im working on losing it and iv been doing a good job, but what i have noticed is most fat people come up with reasons that are fulse on why they are fat.

  • I get where you're coming from, but honestly, you can't know if that girl's reasons were bullshit or true.. she was probably embarrassed to run in front of people b/c her own dislike of her body made her uncomfortable enough.

we cant judge people's "reasons for being fat"... If someone's mom dies and they get so depressed they get an eating disorder and gain a lot of weight is that a "false excuse"? Sure there are people out there who make up excuses, but thats not our business that i can see.

  • @cryingflower

You are fat. I can feel it.

  • @cryingflower gym in school is shit now...banned dodgeball, tag any sport that involves contact...now we have cup stacking

  • Television and video games. Those two things don't help. Diet is very important but kids don't get enough excise today. That is the major reason. And I don't want the government telling me what to do. I can handle it myself. So far they have a poor track record.

  • Hey this isn't part of the video but if some answers this thank you. :D

If Im 5'6 and 104 pounds am I fat?

  • no you are not my friend.

  • No you're not overweight if ur 5'6 and 104 pounds.

  • IS FOOD A SUBSTANCE????? AGAINST OBESITY NOT AGAINST OBESE PEOPLES.

PLEASE VISIT OBESITY THUNDER BAY on youtube.

    Thanks Paul

  • heh, feed your children with healthy food from the moment they start to eat otherwise it'll just get harder and harder and harder to change their eating habits by the minute.

  • i have soccer practice 4 times a week each averaging (1hour to 2 hours)Each week at my school we either run 1 to 2 miles. so i think im fit....

  • (01:34-38)Why in HELL would you feed your child that crap? All of these facts are not new, so parents cannot claim ignorance. In the long term, if you feed your child like this, you're killing them!

  • I've been hearing this for 30 years. This is not news. It's still ultimately the parents' responsibility to stop feeding crap to the kids. Although I'd love to see school boards shot for their greed in allowing the candy and pop machines into school.

  • Its amazing how many of you post negative comments about these people. Compassion, love and 'true' understanding is what should be given out. And no, im not overweight.

  • just dont give ur child unhealthy food. parents r the ones who go to the grocery store and buy the food not the kids. its not that hard. when u dont have junk food at home u cant eat it. same with choosing restaurants. dont go to mc donalds if u cant order a salad.

  • Thou should eat to live; not live to eat.

    --Socrates

  • heres a way to solve it... dont go to McDonalds or Arbys for every meal and exercise at least one hour a day! its not that hard people!

  • zergling29 grow up that wasn't funny.lol punk

  • Many parents are afraid to let kids play outside with all the fucking pervs out there.

  • Well, those parents are just too lazy to bring them outside and supervise them.

  • or mabey you shouldnt have kids if u cant watch them

  • LOL overweight children are funny. They roll if you kick them hard enough

  • lol

  • kids are fat! HA! we're more health concious than any other age group. If you see a fat kid it's because their parents give them too much. I live in California so there aren't many fat people. But when I went to Washington DC for a trip. I was horrified at the amount of fat people. not overweight. OBESE!.

  • I really hate this guy, he's annoying as fuck.

  • Adults in the United States have one of the highest obesity rates in the world. Nearly a third of U.S. adults 20 years and older are obese, while about two-thirds are overweight, according to the National Center for Health Statistics. YOU FAT FUCKS!

  • Europe is catching up now! Even Asia is.

  • Indeed, I totally agree with you, although Asia has some catching up but Britain is becoming one large lump of lard, obviously influenced by the unhealthy fast-food lifestyle of the fucking yanks who build McDonalds and Burger Kings on ever bloody corner!

  • i feel bad i just ate ice cream :p

  • Try not to worry. It's all right to eat a small ice cream every once in a while. As long as you go easy on junk, eat right and exercise, you should be all right.

  • who really cares?

  • i'm turning 17 in a couple of weeks and only weigh 127( i'm a male)

  • very interesting report!

  • Great video people need to hear this message!!

  • band on sodas in school must be working cause i can get a soda in my high school

  • same here exept you get it with your meal free

  • I notice your school is not doing so well with its English classes too.

  • no, he said it right, his school marching band is performing on some sodas I think.

  • lol exactly!

    his english skills are great

...if he took english as a second language that is
