Can someone help me litlle bit. Im from finland and I dont speak japanese. Could someone tell me something of Emiko shiratoris music. I love her voice and I would like to hear some of her music. Where could I find her music. Please would somebody help me.
@wannabex01 She started her career in 1969 with the group トワエモアtoi et moi.And she released one solo album with the name 山室英美子emiko yamamuro in 1973.Then she retired. But in 80's she came back with her husband as the group named 鴉鷺aro, only one album released. She restarted as solo singer 白鳥英美子emiko shiratori in 82'.If you are looking for her music on youtube, copy and paste her japanese name and search them. The youger singer of this movie is her daughter, Maika Shiratori.Sorry, my bad english.
Emiko Shiratori is not very popular in Japan, her own country. However, she is a great singer. Who wasn't stunned by her beautifoul song "Melodies Of Life""? Her version of Scarborough Fair, sung with her daughter is really amazing! I love it ;)
Even though it is originally English, it had managed to spread all across Great Britain by the 17th century, ALL of Ireland was still apart of GB at that time.
Another Japanese version! Good to see the old British Folk Song going so far: still, the pronunciation of 'Scarborough' makes me smile :)

@MEGHAPSEY Listen to the celtic women version. Not saying it's better, but it's very good.

It's not Irish. It's an English folk song.

Japanese (I presume), the other side of the world, and yet they're singing an Irish folk tune...
Beautifully I might add!
