  • Old school soilder!

  • by the time that whole field is cut it will be ready to cut it again

  • Great vid,brings back memories.

  • wow i would say, dad go to there a sell them a new tractor.

they need a new 1 before this one is coming to a hold because some parts are gone.

  • Those were the days when silage making was so simple and the direct cut was so straight forward ,nothing compared to today's silage making where the grass has to be tethered and wilted before carting in colossal quantities, how times have changed.

  • them 100 series massey are unbeatable

  • You can't smell the grass in a big M !

  • you can say what you like about big m and sph but this is still the best and can put in all his grass with 20 gallon of diesel, always love the hum of a side mount

  • aw @rakerman wouldnt like the pressure @ the pit, be serious!

  • Under Pressure...........

  • @mickoholland Who the man on the pit?

  • @mickoholland he be way better off if he dropped a gear

  • @p4460 maybe you'd be better if you dropped a gear and fucked off, your just talkin shite bout anyone's video no matter who it is.

  • it takes a whole day to do 1 field

  • Nice video ! It brings me reminds..... Farming isn`t only big farms and big, expensive machines.

  • I think you are right that it's a 188.......notice the wheel weights on the front wheels....These were quite common on 188's but rarely if ever seen on a 168. it's not a definitive answer but I would put money on it

  • 5 acres a day hi amazin

  • It is so nice to see old tractors like yours working the fields! Keep 'em coming!

  • this is a MF 168, nice video and great Tractor!!

  • @devius6150 , iTs a 188 I think, have a look at my 168.

Great Video you have posted. Thanks

  • I love the retro silage... Have you got anymore?? reminds me of happy summer days

  • goooooooooooooooooooooooood tracktor

  • its all nice but a bit slow, thats a huge field too, i think winter will be setting in before he gets out of that field

  • what size is the single chop

  • should check out my silage 09 videos for old school aswell.. nice ooutfit man gets the job done for abou 30 quid diesel :L

  • i wonder is the finance cleared on that setup?

  • We don't know the full story about NAMA yet

  • this is how to harvest silage old school!

  • tats a big field must have taken ages 2 cut wit that gear!!!

  • this was a good crop

  • used to have one of them for kale pulled it with a 7810

  • did ye cut da kale with the single chop and put it in a pit??

  • wel we choped a load every cuple of days an just used it like that a was only abwt 7 at da time so cant emember dat much some 1 had to stand on it to move the spout tho lol

  • ah, the memories!

  • Thats cool.Great to see the older gear at work.still does as good a job as the new stuff.yea its not as quick but it worked well for years.

  • prob get as much in the box as that wee trailer

  • i cut the lawn with a 54 inch john deere lawn mower

  • put your 54 inch john deere into that crop and see how far you get

  • I can't imagine, maybe i don't want to, how long it takes to cut that field. Pure recession silage gear but i love it.

  • by the time you have went round the field twice a big m cud have it nearly all cut..:-)

  • But the big M don't pick it up

  • is that 53 inch harvester?

  • yes

  • more power too her ... life in the old dog yet

  • nice 5 star

  • look after that 188... its quite collectable.. I have one..!!!

  • Great Video. That remindes me of my youth cutting silage with a MF185 and Taarup single chop. Some difference compared with a modern set-up in speed and cost!

  • Great Video man .... is that shot in Ireland ?

  • Yes somewhere around cork

  • Super. Thanks man

  • No problem anything for a friend
