  • I'm a new viewer and I cried with you. Congrats!

  • Thank you Mandee for your answer on nursing through pregnancy.

Well.....I have a looong way to go with my toddler :)

She nurses from the late evening time until early morning whenever she wants. I have to do it less frequently...I think :)

It is going to be a BIG job to let her wean naturally, because she demands it during the night more.

Thank you again, best wishes to you all.

  • Congrats Mandee!! I'm so thrilled for you. You and your beautiful preemie princess are so incredibly lucky to have each other right now...she's the BIGGEST little blessing and you are a GREAT mommy<3

  • Huge congrats!! I'm sorry it wasn't the birth you had hoped for and that the whole epidural/anesthesiologist experience was so horrible but I'm thrilled that in the end everything turned out ok for you!!

  • @dren0951 Thank you :)

  • Congratulation Mandee for your beautiful baby girl! You did great!!!

I am happy that everything went OK.

I tried to contact you to ask about your nursing experience while you were pregnant. I would really love to hear how far into your pregnancy did you nurse your sweet little boy.

    I think I am not alone :)

    happy for you :)

  • @ummiszlam Thank you! Sorry I didnt get back to you! I nursed him throughout the entire pregnancy ...my milk supply dried up around 12 weeks though so he cut down to only a few times a day to sometimes only a little before bed. Then When my colostrum came in during the end he nurses even less frequently. Now he only nurses with her tandem once a day before bed at night or not at all. I am going to let him wean naturally on his own. Best wishes to you!

  • You gotta stop crying in your videos - You got me all teary-eyed!! <3

  • @MommyMakingHome Aww <3

  • Hahahaha. It makes me laugh when they tell a mother to stop pushing. Like really??? Not gonna happen. lol

    Congratulations! She's beautiful!

  • @MommyMakingHome I know right! Its an uncontrollable thing! Thank you!

  • Glad everything went well despite the fact that you had to be in hospital and the medicine. Congrats again :))

  • @TheCaiira Thank you!

  • I was induced with pitocin with my first pregnancy.....the pain is much more intense than real contractions...as I found out when I had my second child naturally. I did have epidurals both times and also had bad experiences with the guy that gave them to me. The first time the guy yelled at me to quit moving...sorry...it hurts during those contractions and it's hard not to move. The second time around the guy had to try 4 times before he could get it in....he kept hitting bone!!

  • @gandeeheather I agree...pitocin is evil! What is up with these guys... why cant they be nice or good at what they do! Im sorry you had to go through that ... sounds painful!!

  • I'm so happy for you guys! Great story and beautiful baby girl!

  • @LostTheStork Thank you so much!

  • what a positive way to express a birth! in my doula training we learned that you have to have "the next best thing" when birth goes differently then planned. You did everything right! she is sooo beautiful! I totally know what you mean when you hate epidurals. ive never had one but the idea makes me anxious and clostrophobic! When you get time, it would be great to have a CDing a NB video. im 14wks with my third try for baby number one. and we really want to CD from day one! CONGRATS

  • @BabyNerdsUnite Thank you! Yeah I think that with the circumstances it was an amazing birth and am grateful! Congrats to you! I just posted a cding a preemie video and if you look back in my videos I made one awhile ago of the entire newborn stash :)

  • So happy to hear your birth story - it sounds like it was really worrying and stressful at times, but the moment of her birth sounds absolutely magical. Congratulations!

  • @OurGrandAdventure It truly was! Thank you <3

  • Congratulations. This birth experience will help you be an even better doula! Glad baby is healthy and you are doing well.

  • @MUSleger Thank you!

  • It's so awesome that you still had the urge to push with an epidural!!! :o)

  • @08jaydensmommy08 Yeah I am so glad it had worn off so much!

  • You are the sweetest mom. Love you Mandy you did perfect for a well informed mother.

  • @olfashionedatheart Thank you! :)

  • Beautiful story! I'm so glad that the both of you are healthy despite the fact that not everything went to plan. Quick question... I was planning on doing a placenta tincture and I have not been able to find out what the difference is in the benefits of tincture vs encapsulation. We decided to do a tincture because it's so much easier but I would be willing to find someone to do encapsulation if I would receive greater benefit from it. Just curious if you have any insight. Congratulations!

  • @garanandmelissa Thank you! The thing is that with encapsulation the pills are there for your immediate consumption but with the tincture it needs up to 6 weeks of time to formulate before use. You would miss out on all the benefits in the early postpartum.

  • Congrats again!!

  • @mommylove2585 thank you! :)

  • Beautiful story!!

  • @alandamandamama Thank you!

  • That sounds so amazing how you were able to pull her up to you're chest and have that immediate bonding! I'm glad to hear that she's so healthy and happy :)

  • @jenniferlovesrain Yes it was amazing! Thank you!

  • glad you have your baby girl in your arms.

  • I cried right along with you! What a beautiful birth story! Thank you so much for sharing your experience with all of us! Congratulations Mandee!

  • @SasseShan Thank you <3

  • they told me to stop pushing too.. ppffttt as if!! i could not stop pushing. My body was pushing on its own.

  • @Shereezy87 Yeah I don't think they understand that there is no stopping it!

  • I love all the details. I was (along with the rest of your pals) very worried about you both. Things turned out fine, even though it was not the delivery you dreamed of, you got your beautiful daughter through the beautiful experience in itself. I am glad that you had the sense of empowerment that you had hoped for. You are a sweetheart and Cesilee is a doll. Take care:)

  • @TheBabybound Thanks Brandy... it was all worth it for my healthy baby girl! Anything for her!

  • Loved your birth story, that you were so honest with your feelings. Congratulations!!!

  • @trying4ababy Thank you <3

  • What an amazing story! Your so strong and amazing and I am so happy after everything your baby girl is here and she is perfect! I also can't believe what a shitty person you had do your epi I am so sorry for that! And I have a question.. I don't have a doula but I'm interested in the placenta encapsulation, who does that and how do I go about it and why does it cost?

  • @TeaandTimW707 Thank you so much! you could do a google search for a placenta encapsulation specialist in your area. Check out placentabenefits(dot)info it usually costs around $150 sometimes more sometimes less. I promise that it is worth it though... they make you feel great!

  • So, so happy that it worked out for you and your family. I cried some tears of joy for you too! Enjoy your precious girl x

  • @1mmcquade Aww thank you so much!

  • I have been so anxious to hear your birth story! I am so happy you trusted your instincts and kept going back to the hospital, and that she arrived safely of course. She is beautiful. Congrats again!

  • @plus1please Thank you!! It was a crazy roller coaster ride and I am so happy its all over and my sweet girl is ok!

  • The pulling up your baby! Oh my heart.

  • @MadreMaven It was amazing <3

  • i'm so glad you got a happy ending!

i'll be looking forward to the breastfeeding update!

  • @fakecrab Thank you! I will try my best to get it up soon :)

  • Things sometimes just don't work out the way we want....I personally know that !!! However, what's done is done and you and your daughter are ok. I know that was a tough decision to get the pit and epi, however.....you put your feeling aside and did what you could. Hugs sweetie :)

  • @redelozier Thanks :)
