What is not usually admitted is that the four creatures are the 4 fixed or "power" signs: Leo,Taurus,Aquarius(Man),Scorp­io (Eagle). The 7 candlesticks or spirits of God are the 7 chakras within us. I do agree that the 24 elders are the 12 tribal patriarchs and 12 apostles; however they are also the 12 signs and houses; and the spirit of the creatures are in the spirit Ezekiel's wheel, because the signs are the wheel of the zodiac and the 2 great wheels of heaven, the year and the day cycles.

I don't agree with much of what is said here - the 4 faces represent the 4 faces of Jesus. The river (of glass) flowing from beneath the throne represents the Holy Spirit.  But I do agree the 24 elders represent 12 disciples and 12 representatives of the New Testament church.

@fwfassett I don't see any reason why this passage has to have one meaning or significance. You can notice that some passages, and even stories in the bible, apply to several things at once. In this video, I just stated (paraphrased) what God explained to me as the meaning of the vision in this chapter. Don't limit your thinking to a box, watch it again if you will and consider what I said, and most importantly let the Holy Spirit help you to discern whether this is His interpretation or not.

@fwfassett also remember that in verse 8, the four living creatures praise Jesus: "Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under his wings. Day and night they never stop saying: "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come." See they do not represent. Jesus receives praise, they gave praise.

@fwfassett The four living beings are explicitly said to be the cherubim in Ezekiel 10. They are angels, so they do not represent Jesus. Rather, the faces describe these angel's so we can get an idea of what they "look like." The lion for strength, the ox for service, the man for rationality, and the eagle for swiftness. The sea of glass is not the Holy Spirit, the seven torches are already said to the Holy Spirit.
