They thought I had amnesia, then turned out to be a misdiagnosis and I was schizophrenic, and still am. Controlled with medicine now. Where I was, they took all my personal items, down to my glasses. So i highy doubt you would be able to have a camera in there.

@cover821 alot of wards or crisis units are very lax when it comes to having your own clothes phone music etc. as long as you dont pose a danger to yourself or others. many have a sign in and out sheet where a person can come and go as they please. then there are the much more locked down facilities some in which you cant even have cigaretts i reckon it depends upon the leval of seriousness to your condition.
I've been to four. One of them was really awful because they were hoarding patients. The staff was having relations with underaged girls. One of them threw my boot at me, and when I told them that they hit me, they immediately lied about it. The doctors made fun of me for my accent (apparently, I have an accent). It was just awful.
I fucking hate mental hospitals. I've been there three times and that shit isn't fun. You go once, and every little thing they think you're either A. Depressed or B. A danger to yourself. @retroreptar She said its coz it wasnt a secure unit. I went to a non-secure unit in the UK, but there was a strict no camera policy. I think it varies depending on which hospital you go to in which part of the world.

Dang, they let you have a camera? Lol, we weren't allow to have ANY electronic devices. Expect for a hair blower, but that was only allowed in the morning for 1 hour.
Different people seek different needs with mental illness. Perhaps this is her way of coping with being in the hospital, by posting it on youtube to feel as if it isn't as big of a deal to assure herself that it's a normal thing.

I had to go to outpatient treatment before as a kid & I know the types of people there.You, my friend, are an attention-seeker. If you REALLY needed inpatient hospitalization, you would probably be curled in a fetal position and terribly depressed with the direction your life was taking. That is a normal reaction for someone having to be admitted. Your affect is happy and I'm sure just bathing in all the attention. I got sent to a spyche ward too after trying to commit suicide, long history of family abuse in multiple foster homes. Amazing how they think the "cure" is to send you away to isolation instead of prosecuting the bastards that caused you to want to die rather than live another minute. Dunno why you were in there, but the system needs fixing cuz those places suck.

on the hospital aspect been there done that waited 2 hours in the ER holding room to be admitted to the damn ward. and they wouldn't allow me anything like I wanted to have my camera just for something to do but the only thing I was allowed to have was a blanket and had to take out all of my piercings..they only kept me for 4 days because it wasn't a locked ward but it stillsucked I had the "do you want to hurt yourself" question being repeated.....so I know how that is...how are you doing now?

These videos were simply made for my handful of friends that I was keeping updated at the time. I was trying to make light of the situation, you know, keep myself and them laughing. Shit sucked right then, I had to do something to make things better.

@cover821 alot of wards or crisis units are very lax when it comes to having your own clothes phone music etc. as long as you dont pose a danger to yourself or others. many have a sign in and out sheet where a person can come and go as they please. then there are the much more locked down facilities some in which you cant even have cigaretts i reckon it depends upon the leval of seriousness to your condition.

I've been to four. One of them was really awful because they were hoarding patients. The staff was having relations with underaged girls. One of them threw my boot at me, and when I told them that they hit me, they immediately lied about it. The doctors made fun of me for my accent (apparently, I have an accent). It was just awful.

This child is being conditioned into her acceptance of a mental diagnosis. I am here to say been there done that and it is FAKE, MADE UP, MEDICINE. She really needs some people around her who have open hearts and compassion. If one person in society can tell me they have never felt depressed, lonely, abandoned, or abused, or off kilter mentally at sometime in their life please let me know. @retroreptar She said its coz it wasnt a secure unit. I went to a non-secure unit in the UK, but there was a strict no camera policy. I think it varies depending on which hospital you go to in which part of the world.

I was in there for TEN fuckin months and I swear to God if my doc told me I had 2 go back in today or ever I would walk 2 the nearest bridge and throw myself off it. I had to go to outpatient treatment before as a kid & I know the types of people there.You, my friend, are an attention-seeker. If you REALLY needed inpatient hospitalization, you would probably be curled in a fetal position and terribly depressed with the direction your life was taking. That is a normal reaction for someone having to be admitted. Your affect is happy and I'm sure just bathing in all the attention. Just something to think about; get out there and live your life outside hospitals

I got sent to a spyche ward too after trying to commit suicide, long history of family abuse in multiple foster homes. Amazing how they think the "cure" is to send you away to isolation instead of prosecuting the bastards that caused you to want to die rather than live another minute. Dunno why you were in there, but the system needs fixing cuz those places suck.

on the hospital aspect been there done that waited 2 hours in the ER holding room to be admitted to the damn ward. and they wouldn't allow me anything like I wanted to have my camera just for something to do but the only thing I was allowed to have was a blanket and had to take out all of my piercings..they only kept me for 4 days because it wasn't a locked ward but it stillsucked I had the "do you want to hurt yourself" question being repeated.....so I know how that is...how are you doing now?
