  • According to jazz drumming legend, Gene Krupa, Buddy Rich was “the greatest drummer ever to have drawn breath.” Krupa's statement is as true today almost 25 years after Buddy's passing as it was back then!

  • AWESOME!!!!

  • A lot say buddy rich is a great drummer( yes he is good) HOWEVER my opinion is that he still has a ways to go to meet Mr. Kruppa. Mr. Rich "beats, bangs or what ever you call it" on the rums Mr. Kruppa actually plays them.

  • was that krupa right at the end there? me thinks so. : P

  • Junglist's wet deam.

  • I am 43 years old and my dad had this LP and I played it all the time from about age 5. I liked Gene's solo and version of Bernie's Tune. What a collection of musicians!

  • Of all the drummers I've heard many are really good but they can't beat Buddy Rich.

  • Yep, that's the good stuff. Nobody plays like this today. At least we have our recordings. You might get a kick out of some of my own solo clips on here. Very "old school" Buddy Rich type of playing (well, as best I can).

  • These guys would tear it up it if you handed them an SP1200. Pioneers of jungle.
