Start with your 3rd string (G) and tune it down to E (1st string). Next change your 6th and 1st strings (E) to the same as your 4th string (D). Keep you 5th and 4th strings the same. Finally, change your 2nd string (B) down to the same as your 5th string (A). Capo 2nd to achieve his key

how do you have that tuned? to you just have the capo on 2nd?

he plays it in some variation of open E (EBEF#Be ), so to achieve this without tuning my A string up to a B (and risk snapping it), I tune down to DADEAD (i think, can't recall) and the capo puts it into the same key as his tuning.
