I keep seeing samples of how to create an app with netbeans/glassfish, but how do I create a simple index page in my domain's top-level directory in glassfish?
I've installed Netbeans and Glassfish. When I try to run the application, the Glassfish server never seems to come up. The "deploying webApp" bar on the bottom right just keeps moving back and forth
Netbeans 6.7.1. However I got it to work. Your video is a little fuzzy and it's hard to see what you were typing to get the servlet to display the number of requests.
brilliant video simple but well explained!

Create an HTML document in glassfish/domains/domain1/docroot/ and edit it per what you want.

Session preservation is a GlassFish-only feature. And Tomcat is only JSP/Servlet container.

can we do this in tomcat?
