Dear Jackie: No, Ron Paul was not against the 164 Act because he is against civil right legislation. If you do research, you will find that Barry Goldwater was for Civil Rights versions before 1964, but he voted against the 1964 Act, not because he is against civil right, but because in the law there is a clause that negates property rights. The US deposed a democratically elected leader in Iran in '53 and we've been getting hell for it ever since. The Treaty of Versailles left Germany crippled, humiliated, and impoverished - the perfect conditions for Hitler to manipulate his way into power. There are many reasons as to why Japan attacked Pearl harbour but there is only one major reason which is to do with American intervention in Japanese affairs. One of these was where the U.S. prohibited exports of steel, scrap iron and fuel to Japan because of the takeover of northern Indochina. Another reason was when Japan took over the rest of Indochina and the US once again took action.

It would be much harder for them to physically attack us and for sharia governments to stay in power if we didn't engage in long term occupations. If you do research, you will find that Barry Goldwater was for Civil Rights versions before 1964, but he voted against the 1964 Act, not because he is against civil right, but because in the law there is a clause that negates property rights. This is the reason why he and Paul is against it. There has been misunderstandings because of this.

Actually, we (Western world) did have a part in causing World War 2. The Treaty of Versailles left Germany crippled, humiliated, and impoverished - the perfect conditions for Hitler to manipulate his way into power. Years before this the Japanese started a full scale invasion of northern & central China in 1937, they were the aggressors, they bombed cities such as Shanghai without any warnings. Just before Pearl Harbor Japan joined Germany & Italy, in what was known as the Triparite Pact.

BTW: We blockaded Japan in retaliation for their invasion of China. The US had effectively stopped all fuel imports to the Japan. They either had to give up the war, from lack of supplies, or attack us.

Sept. 11th was at least in part a reaction to our having troops stationed in Saudi Arabia. The Muslims look on Saudi Arabia as the holiest of holy and they think that we are idolators etc. The fact is if you look into the history of Al Qaeda and the timeline and background and statements of the people who made 9/11 happen, these people are pissed off that our troops are in the land of Mecca and Medina.

This is actually a good rational response. His last video gave no context and was often a clear manipulation of his words (i.e. Ron Paul did not say that 911 was our fault IN the clip that Jackie used in his last video, adding the rest of that clip in this video makes it more than manipulation).

I recommend Raymond Ibrahim's book "The al-Qaeda Reader," it outlines Al-Qaeda reasons for terrorism. To the West they emotionally list legitimate sounding grievances in small bites. To Muslims they base everything on the Islamic Holy Books & the example of Muhammad with extensive referencing - here is where Al-Qaeda's real reasons for war are outlined. Mr Paul should read it!

on Pearl Harbor, you are wrong. We stopped selling them Oil, we also had several sancions against them. We also had reports from other countries we were about to be attacked. There are also those that say we even heard there comunications and reported we didn't. But that is hard to verify.
