  • dang, i remember my mom had this song as a single on cassette! After i took it she never got it back!

  • This brings back good memories of my first true love

  • 1990. This was the cut during that summer. Sure wish they made music like this today.

  • My only complaint about this song is that it didn't have a stronger lead vocal. It needed that. I love me some Lorena, but..... this needed a more soulful vocal.

  • speed it up and you have the break for 'bombscare' by 2 bad mice - don't you just love sampling :-)

  • in the same styl than soul to soul ...the last klymaxx lp with only three member

  • makes me want get up and dance! ugh miss jams like this

  • always loved this song! feels good to hear it again!

  • Wild Wooooow!

  • OMG! I haven't heard this song on the radio this entire millenium! Take me back to the 1990s when music was as good as this!

  • My dad produced .. produced this song Vassal Benford

  • @invertigox That's tight...

  • I mean these vibes are like fine wine, and I remember how important dancing was to music back then before the age of showmanship. The beat was important and more exciting. Cool. Thanks.

  • I cannot beleive this is 20 yrs ago. Thanks for uploading man you just sent me back to the good old days. I swear music like this is like taking a happy drug I'm convinced it strokes the adrenals and causes one to experience euphoria. Most definitely my happy place!!

  • @whutup05 Yes, yes, yes! I'm gonna dig out my CD (I had the LP up until March 2004). I was in the mood for something to remind me of when sampling was not the entire song!

  • this song those sound like keep on moving but nothing like don't look any further

  • back in the day JAM YALL!!

  • @theoriginalschool

Yes, they were ahead of their time!

However, so many others before them, the dark side of music success destroyed them as a group.

  • 2KevT: i feel u, i got da maxi single 2; whn it WAS maxi singles... showin my age now...

  • @SweetSweatJones I havent heard the term "Maxi Single" in soooooo long. It would the album version and the intstrumental version on the front and maybe some remixes on the back. Ahhh...the good ol' days.

  • @underdog2g3 YES INDEED! You already know!

  • I have always loved this song. I really thought they on their back until... I still have this single and Bernadette Cooper in my cassette collection from the early 90s.

  • This was the jawn! This was one of my favorite songs from that summer. I could not gt enough of it, and I am enjoying it was ,uch today as I did when I first bought it. I just saw the Vh1 Bands reunited and Unsing tonight. I wondered what happened to the group. I guess I still wonder about the one member that was not in either special.

  • they were known for this song in Nigeria back in 1990. Was a massive hit there

  • I like this.

  • I listen to this song each and every day, just for My Baby!!

  • Saw their story on UNSUNG.....very depressing...and this was a huge hit in Europe....infact they are known for this song in Europe(2nd to I miss you)

  • Saw their story on UNSUNG.....very depressing...and this was a huge hit in Europe....infact they are known for this song in Europe(2nd to I miss you)

  • wt was their story?

  • I remember I purchased the single cassette of this song!

  • 1990

  • Those were the days...

  • Yes baby!!!! I remember this song from back in the day. Oh my this brings back memories man, the good ole' days....(sighs!!!)

  • They used to play this song on the radio a lot back in the day and I loved it.

  • This was produced by Vassal Benford, who was later the guy behind the group Jade. I've always loved his work.

  • @ originalwharris - Thanks for the clarification. It was also reiterated when I saw their story on Unsung tonight. Again, thanks!

  • No problem. :-)

  • Is there any chance you have their song "Sexy?"

  • this was in 1989

  • It was on the Klymaxx album. I bought the cassette back in the day...still have it lol

  • The album was called "The Maxx is Back" in 1990.

  • Wrong, this was recorded by the remaining members after Bernadette, Joyce, and Lynn Left.

  • I didnt know klymaxx sang this but I remember it from back in the day. Great track

  • Music for real women! Only real women can appreciate this song!

  • This is a Jam for Real

  • Wow.. I was watching the movie Running Scared on Youtube and saw this song..Wow I had forgot all about this song,..I am a 32 year old R and B junkie..certainly from the 90's. Nothing like it!!! I havent heard this in almost 20 years..... Music aint the same!!!!

  • Let's do it...

remind me i was in Cuba listen HOT 105 FM from Miami ... amazing song from 90'

good rhythm like soul 2 soul

  • im looking 4 the video myself.this is my high school days song ya no.somebody find the video please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Any body got the video I used to love watching it a million time when I was younger.

  • i love this song very much!!

  • Damn, used to love this song..

  • This takes me back to my high school days when bright floral shirts and beach shorts were the thing.

A solid track when not so many women produced/wrote their own stuff

  • love the piano solo

  • this song sound just like keep on movin by soul to soul

  • i think you'll find this jam goes back much earlier than your suggestion, try Dennis Edwards and Siedah Garret/Don't Look Any Further....

  • @afrocookie... Very good ear, Afrocookie.... :) THAT'S the reference point.....

  • My mom so love's this song. Of course I love it too! :0) Love the chorus! This song is the jam! I downloaded it on my iPod.

  • Cleo when I tell you I think we are twinz. I remember my mom playing the crap out of this song when I was young, and when i got older I could never find it, so I asked her who sung it and she said CHIC! lol! so you know i was not going to find it looking for them, then I googled it and that's how i found it. Boy am I happy!!!

  • See! So you know what Im talking about! :0)

  • Yo, Klymaxx 2009 in the house. Six hot divas and twelve cool cats kickin it New Jack Swing flavor. You know what I'm sayin?

  • man this stuff sounds so different from their 80's sound...but i love this song...now i remember who sung this..thanks i couldnt remember who sung this wheres the rest of klymaxx at wasnt their more members

  • Different you say?!? You don't yet know the stuff which they did with CHERYL COOLEY do you? This is almost rock music!! Hardly anything to do with their 80s funk/freestyle tracks...

  • OMG, this was the jam...thanks for the throwback!

  • Damn the bass is "rumpin" in this joint (Ima 80s baby)I love the way they took it to the bridge at 2:50.

  • What great memories :)

  • Why did they remove the video?

  • sounds like lisa stansfield song

  • what song of her's does it sound like?

  • finally!!!!!someone posts this jam.thank you.

  • They were the original divas because they played their own music..yes. but VOcally..there were NOT better than envogue.

  • Still, I'd rather hear Klymaxx's vocals because EnVogue had this annoying habit of trying to outsing each other. Sure they had lotsa hits, but it was a bad idea to put four "belters" together as a group. To me, anyway. I just never liked the way it sounded.

  • This shit is hot! This ladies were better then En Vogue! They actually played and wrote their own music. All hail talent!

  • Yes! the pulled the video of this:-( but I still love this song video or not. 5/5

  • I heard this recently on an old school mixx. I forgot about this song. I used to love it and still do! I never new they sang this. I might have been too young to care! Great song!!
