My only complaint about this song is that it didn't have a stronger lead vocal. It needed that. I love me some Lorena, but..... this needed a more soulful vocal.
OMG FREEKING GOD...back in the day when you here chooonz iike this .. u just go and buy it with out question..well for me it was ..and it great hearing these again...where tha funky choonz gone these days?
I mean these vibes are like fine wine, and I remember how important dancing was to music back then before the age of showmanship. The beat was important and more exciting. Cool. Thanks.
I cannot beleive this is 20 yrs ago. Thanks for uploading man you just sent me back to the good old days. I swear music like this is like taking a happy drug I'm convinced it strokes the adrenals and causes one to experience euphoria. Most definitely my happy place!!
@whutup05 Yes, yes, yes! I'm gonna dig out my CD (I had the LP up until March 2004). I was in the mood for something to remind me of when sampling was not the entire song!
@SweetSweatJones I havent heard the term "Maxi Single" in soooooo long. It would the album version and the intstrumental version on the front and maybe some remixes on the back. Ahhh...the good ol' days.
I have always loved this song. I really thought they on their back until... I still have this single and Bernadette Cooper in my cassette collection from the early 90s.
This was the jawn! This was one of my favorite songs from that summer. I could not gt enough of it, and I am enjoying it was ,uch today as I did when I first bought it. I just saw the Vh1 Bands reunited and Unsing tonight. I wondered what happened to the group. I guess I still wonder about the one member that was not in either special.
Wow.. I was watching the movie Running Scared on Youtube and saw this song..Wow I had forgot all about this song,..I am a 32 year old R and B junkie..certainly from the 90's. Nothing like it!!! I havent heard this in almost 20 years..... Music aint the same!!!!
Cleo when I tell you I think we are twinz. I remember my mom playing the crap out of this song when I was young, and when i got older I could never find it, so I asked her who sung it and she said CHIC! lol! so you know i was not going to find it looking for them, then I googled it and that's how i found it. Boy am I happy!!!
man this stuff sounds so different from their 80's sound...but i love this song...now i remember who sung this..thanks i couldnt remember who sung this wheres the rest of klymaxx at wasnt their more members
Different you say?!? You don't yet know the stuff which they did with CHERYL COOLEY do you? This is almost rock music!! Hardly anything to do with their 80s funk/freestyle tracks...
Still, I'd rather hear Klymaxx's vocals because EnVogue had this annoying habit of trying to outsing each other. Sure they had lotsa hits, but it was a bad idea to put four "belters" together as a group. To me, anyway. I just never liked the way it sounded.

However, so many others before them, the dark side of music success destroyed them as a group.

This wasn't recorded by Klymaxx. It was recorded by their lead singer, Joyce "Fenderella" Irby, when she went solo.

Still, I'd rather hear Klymaxx's vocals because EnVogue had this annoying habit of trying to outsing each other. Sure they had lotsa hits, but it was a bad idea to put four "belters" together as a group. To me, anyway. I just never liked the way it sounded.
