Downloading Redsn0w and your stock ipsw that you ran prior to bricking your device, also works well. Open itunes, let it detect your device, then open redsnow, select the ipsw you need, let it recognize it, then go back and select "recovery fix" that should do it, if all else fails. Doing option hold + restore through itunes didn't work for me, neither did entering dfu mode and restoring it, only resulted in another error 1600, but redsnow definitely fixes this, and i guess tiny umbrella

@ergisi6068 all you do is download the firm ware you want to update to. Then connect it and hold Left Shift+Click restore then click the firmware and that should do it

OK here is how to fix, this happend to me when I went from 4.3.3 to 5.0.1

On tiny umbrela go into advanced and set host to Cydia off on exit. Exit tiny umbrella and restore. should fix this problem!

download tiny umbrella then redsn0w latest version open itunes ok then 1st go to tiny to advanced then unclick 1st 3rd and fourth boxes start tiny srever enter dfu then click fix recovery

your probably going to get alot of white lettering and error giving up 600000 ms thats ok then go to redsn0w latest version go to extras enter pwned mode click that then follow the steps then go to itunes click restore that should be it try it 3 or 4 times might not work 1st time took me 3 tries somehow

Error 21 can be fix with redsnow. Download it and choose extras and not jailbreak, when u open it. Then choose recovery fix

@brianizaguirre get snowbreeze then get 4.3.3 and make a custom IPSW and get in DFU mode and use tiny umbrella to start TSS sever and then you should have your idevice back up!

Yes..this is how you fix it...download snowbreeze 2.5....follow instructions and create a "custom 4.3.1 firmware under simple mode. once that is done....follow the instruction on snowbreeze to get into a green poison dfu mode. once in, iReb will recognise it and it will be ready. now open itunes and shift click restore...seach for that snowbreeze firmware you created on your desktop and install...Fixed! agash1994@ymail.com if you need help

i have the 21 error right now and i just pressed home and shut down button until the apple logo comes out and then i let go of the shut down button until the plug in itunes logo comes out and then i restored it to the orginal firmware and thats how i fixed my ipod O.o
