  • In open office Impress. How do u crop?!?!?!?!??\

  • Is it possible to combine photos and video clips when making a moving using WMM?

  • @jeroldssis Yes. The add video button is actually an add video/photo button. When you bring in a photo, the default time is 5 seconds it stays on screen.

  • my windoww live movie maker dont have the automovie how do you do that please answer my question

  • @thestopmotionman9 What version of Windows and Live Movie Maker are you using.

  • @c130bulldawg my windows live movie maker doesnt have automovie...only end credits..

  • Thank you so much this really helped! I had no idea on how to use it then i came across your video! Cheers!

  • @TemptingEvil07 Awesome. Post some of your edited videos and send me a link. I'd love to see them.

  • Great instructions it helped me to cut out parts of my movie but now I have spaces in the movie & no instruction as how to get rid of them to make the slide show smooth as it was before the split. Can you tell me how to do that.

  • @ArtAndersonRealty Hmmm. I tried to duplicate the spaces but I can't. My version of MM keeps getting rid of the spaces automatically.

  • well darn

  • nope it didnt work i think i know why because i use hypercam2 and it records a certain part of my window not all my screen.can i fix that

  • @TheOrangejester Makes sense.Unfortunately, with this new version of WMM, it doesn't give you the option to zoom or stretch to fit to get rid of the black bars.

  • Thank you so much! This video helped me with edetting my son's home video!!

  • @Tamoor84 Great. I'm glad you were able to edit his video.

  • how do i get rid of the black bars on my video

  • @TheOrangejester Seems like a simple questions but...If you recorded the video in widescreen and edited it in 4:3 then it WMM puts the letterboxing black bars. Check your project to see if it is set to 16:9. If that's not it, let me know.

  • hey dude how do you actually edit out a piece of the video without deleting the whole vid?

  • @TheEargasmicBeats Click on the video and go the the part of the clip right before you want to delete. Split video. Play the video and stop it at the part right after you want to delete. Split the video. There should now be a small clip of the piece you want to delete. Click on it and just delete that part. Pull the two parts together and put in a transition.

  • mine doesnt have automovie?

  • @MissSummerLynn What version of Windows are you using? Did you download the latest Windows Live update?

  • I was wondering how to kind of cut out a part of the audio to start it at a certain point of the song. Please help me with that!!

  • @mrsfnisar After adding the music click on the music line in your editor. You will see an audio tools tab appear. The way to cut the music is to set the start and end of your song.

  • @c130bulldawg thanks a lot! u rock!

  • very informative!!!

  • @thequeenofcats Thanks for the comment.

    Cheers.

  • @Cagedbirdfree Click on your song then click the music tools tab. Adjust the beginning and end of the song.

  • @c130bulldawg Thaxs so much for your assistance. Great tutor :)

  • This was SO helpful! I've been looking all over Youtube for a video that would teach me how to edit my 45 minute video down to a 15 minute one! All the videos I've found have not helped AT ALL. I've never used this software before. Let me go and attempt to edit my video now. Thanks!

  • @tstlkevanilla Glad it helped. If you uploaded the video, send me a link via YT message. You can't include links in comments.

  • @SaraDrakula Cut the video right in front of the part you don't want. Then cut the video behind the area you don't want. GOOD | BAD | GOOD. Click on the bad part then click delete.

  • your great just what i needed thx

  • @helloman966 Great. I'm glad you worked it out.

  • I'd never let you hang...I hope you'll watch the two longer & much better video's that I was forced to chop up for the one currently up...you may have viewed. It's too fragmented due to rush; I'm use to study w/others x 2 hrs, not 15 min. But, if all goes well, the better, slow paced intro and info on the hatered true believers endure thru the ugliness of those who aren't--thanks to faith--He never let's us hurt for long! God Bless, and thank you again! You've helped many lost, start to seek!

  • YOU ARE AWESOME!!!

Thank you soooo much! This simple thing, has taken me 3 day's to try to figure out...costing MUCH time, for a Christmas message for the lost.

Though not uploade yet, its in the process....never would've figured out w/out your help, thank you! And...Merry Christmas! :)

  • @Gizzynbean No worries. Thanks so much for keeping me up to date on your progress and not leaving me hanging ;) A very Merry Christmas to you.

  • Thx, got your msg....saved as they are....but will try what you said FOR SURE. Kinda hard to follow, as far as deleting & undo, but think I can do this. Movies are already in 2 halves w/title & credits. So, Splitting was done, just not deleting. I think I asked you twice, as well, sorry....you're great at teaching....you'll be perfect, if I can get this done TODAY, NOW!!!! I'll let you know. Doing now. :)

  • How do I DIVIDE THE DANG MOVIE INTO 2 PARTS! Got 28 min, dividing to fit into the 15 min slots. PLEASE HELP ASAP!!! Thx. I know how to trim w/title & credits at beginning & end....Can't get the movie to be TWO PARTS! Help!!!!!

  • @Gizzynbean Split the clip in half. Click on part 2 of the clip and delete. Save it. Undo. Both will appear again. Delete part 1 of the clip. Save it. You now have your two parts. In making things easy, Microsoft has made some things more difficult.

  • thanks man now I can finally cut my vids :D

  • how do you fast foward a part of your video using this ?

  • @Chocolate17Chip I have a video on ff on my channel. Make a cut in front and behind the segment you want to ff. Click on that clip segment and a tab will appear at the top for video tools. There is a speed option on how fast to make the segment.

  • THank YOU!!!

  • @singmiley66 No worries. Thanks for commenting.

  • @IrishPage09 Thank you for stopping by and commenting.

  • just quick question can you actually crop it or not?

  • @Topgamer99 Sorry it took so long to respond. I was looking to see if there was an add in or some other plugin that might work. There doesn't seem to be any easy way to crop.

  • Yay

  • @Lennberiffic Yay to you ;)

  • how do i cut the music to start at a 1min for example and on the video it will start at 0s

  • @Jman91998 Go to the music tools tab and look at the start and stop times. Put in 1 min for the start time.

  • How do I select multiple clips, video&pic then drag them to another location within the time line; lets say, from end to begining? thanks

  • how do u get rid of the black border in the windows movie maker video

  • @TheReconPlagues The project was set to 4:3 and I shot it in 16:9. To get rid of the bars make sure you set the project settings the same as the aspect ratio in which you shoot.

  • That's so much for your reply!! I guess the people helping me got it wrong at Sams...hope they will take back my 100 pack that I bought. You can see I am ambitious on making some movies!! lol Thanks again for your help..it is greatly appreciated!

  • @mammafishy No worries. Send me a link when you upload one of your movies ;)

  • I have a problem...I can burn onto a CD but I can't view it on any DVD players...I have tried several different ones. (I can watch it on the computer). I finally thought okay, I need a DVD CD so I went and had 4 people at Sams trying to help me figure out which one to get. We finally settled on the 'Printable DVD + R" Still no luck. Under the SAVE MOVIE setting catagory I save the movies under the "BURN A DVD" option. Can you please tell me where I am going wrong?

  • @mammafishy Sorry I didn't respond sooner. I've been out due to military obligations. How old is the DVD player? DVD+R's are only compatible with about 65-70% of all stand alone players. DVD-Rs are compatible with over 90% of the stand alone players.

  • my windows movie make is exactly like yours and everything but I don't see the edit button on my thing .

  • @mslonghair12 It should show up when you click on a video clip in the timeline.

  • @c130bulldawg thanks (:

  • Thanks For Your Help XD

  • @ahmadfaiz1991 No worries. Thanks for visiting.

  • It says Windows Movie Maker in your title, NOT Windows Live Movie Maker...just wanted to point that out as it was a little deceiving....

Other than that great video! I think i'll be studying this very carefully over the next few hours as i try and edit my first video! lol

    Keep it up!

    RJ :D

  • @17MetroStation Sorry about that. Windows Live Movie maker is now the new Windows Movie Maker for Windows 7.

I hope the video editing goes well.

  • Wow I just made my first movie from watching your video!! And it was so easy thanks to you!! You made everything very easy to understand..thanks!!

  • @mammafishy I'm so glad you were able to make a video from my instructions. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

  • great video thanks for posting. What i am trying to figure out is, i have large video files that I used to be able to split into MANY smaller portions and drag drop into storyboard and publish JUST that little 5-10 minute clip, all while keeping track of how far through the file I have gone. Is there a way to publish to computer small clips out of large files, or only the entire thing? Again great video!

  • hey a question is that wat if u want to cut video and cut the music to a certain point and not let the music repeat? can u please let me kno how to do that thanks:)

  • thank you i was looking for that 1

  • @iraqimaster11 No worries. Thanks for watching.

  • i am so mad when i split it takes the whole video away exept for the part i split

  • @NeffStylez Are you splitting with a right-click or by menu?

  • Very helpful =]. Thank you sir

  • @StraightEdgeAngel777 No worries. Thanks for watching and commenting.
