@Celcord I was disappointed at how he looked too, at first. But, I just let it go, considering that real Spyro games might come out with his original look, and that it's only 1 game. Not worth making a big deal about. Besides, Spyro makes the game better. He may look different, but Spyro is Spyro.

@GastrodonAmy Comments and ratings can be essential to let game developers know if a game is well received or not, its not well received by most so it sends a message to them that maybe it wasn't the best idea. The game would have been perfectly fine without Spyro but they had to include him all for the sake of trying to milk extra money out of an existing character, the plan could have gone well but the execution was flawed, as evidenced by the ratings.

Look at Capcom, they released Mercenaries 3D with a permanent save system and the people didn't like it, so they said they would not likely use that feature again in future.
Make a strong enough opinion and they should get the idea that playing around with things that aren't meant to isn't on.
This is an example of why fans of the game are unable to write positive comments on some videos: because they know that if they do, haters will bully them in order to make them hate the game, as well.

@bobipineman I've played Spyro since the first game, I skipped a few sure, just more the portable ones and Enter the Dragonfly. But I played most games from the original to Dawn of the Dragon, and I still can't see why the design change myself.

By having 13-year old actors in the trailer, it's offensive. We actually have taste in games and I myself have played all the other Spyro games. I'm one of the original developers of Spyro.... It broke my heart when we (Insomniac Games) had to 'leave Spyro behind' when we broke off relations with Universal. There have been a couple of good Spyro games since, that kept the look and spirit of Spyro alive... but most of them have been crap... and this one... What the hell did they do to Spyro??? Looks like he has the mumps... or worse.
That's it. They've raped Spyro. And this is the WORST POSSIBLE time to release it...With Modern Warfare 3, Battlefield 3, Gears of War 3, and Halo: Anniversary all on the way, Spyro will be forever destroyed.

Insomniac Games never owned the rights to the Spyro series, Doggy. -_- They were just the game developer who created the Spyro world in the classic trilogy. Universal Interactive did, in fact, own the Spyro series, and they were later called Vivendi Games when the Legend of Spyro was around, and are now within the company of Activision.
This looks like a ugly-as-sin Bionicle/Pokemon/Digimon hybrid game, instead of a Spyro game. Why didn't they create a new IP instead of choosing a existing franchise that is unreleated to this thing in more ways than one?
In short, this looks the videogame version of a crappy CGI film adapation of a beloved videogame franchise (Street Fighter, DragonBall, BloodRayne, Alone in the Dark, etc.) done by Uwe Boll.
The facts are the game looks sold just the wrong franchise was implemented, it would have looked to be a great original series but putting him in the game and as you can see from the title there focusing on "Spyro" its just going to make people mad and from what I have seen there taking a totally new approach with this so I'm pretty sure Spyro is not needed in this story you could probably just use original instead, I'm sure the game would get more "likes" if Spyro wasn't apart of it.

By having 13-year old actors in the trailer, it's offensive. We actually have taste in games and I myself have played all the other Spyro games. This piece of crap here is pathetic.I think they should change their audience to 5-7 because this is such a childish-looking game.Honestly; the company just took Spyro, messed him up and stuck him in with a shit game to try and make it better and to give it more popularity. In doing so they probably lost half their fan-base. Who would pay £60 for this?!

I'm one of the original developers of Spyro.... It broke my heart when we (Insomniac Games) had to 'leave Spyro behind' when we broke off relations with Universal. There have been a couple of good Spyro games since, that kept the look and spirit of Spyro alive... but most of them have been crap... and this one... What the hell did they do to Spyro??? Looks like he has the mumps... or worse.

It's one thing bringing change to a series... but when you outright say it's meant for kids (although I don't see the kids in the trailer ever catching onto this), while disregarding the original fans, that's just strange.

I play Spyro, and I think it's too bad that all these people are hating the new Spyro games. I love every single one of them. Look people! You need to accept change! Change is best for the world! Insomniac Games never owned the rights to the Spyro series, Doggy. -_- They were just the game developer who created the Spyro world in the classic trilogy. Universal Interactive did, in fact, own the Spyro series, and they were later called Vivendi Games when the Legend of Spyro was around, and are now within the company of Activision.

This looks like a ugly-as-sin Bionicle/Pokemon/Digimon hybrid game, instead of a Spyro game. Why didn't they create a new IP instead of choosing a existing franchise that is unreleated to this thing in more ways than one?
In short, this looks the videogame version of a crappy CGI film adapation of a beloved videogame franchise (Street Fighter, DragonBall, BloodRayne, Alone in the Dark, etc.) done by Uwe Boll.

The facts are the game looks sold just the wrong franchise was implemented, it would have looked to be a great original series but putting him in the game and as you can see from the title there focusing on "Spyro" its just going to make people mad and from what I have seen there taking a totally new approach with this so I'm pretty sure Spyro is not needed in this story you could probably just use original instead, I'm sure the game would get more "likes" if Spyro wasn't apart of it.

I didn't like the character design for the first Legend of Spyro but I gave the game a chance and I liked it.You can't just judge a game from two or three trailers,a bad character design and the lack of a jump ability(I'll admit that one's messed up).I'm a life-long fan of Spyro too,but I'll do the sensible thing and wait for a demo to come out then we'll see if Skylanders does suck after all.

We (life long fans of Spyro) know its going to suck because it looks nothing like what a Spyro game should Spyro is a 3rd person platformer with mythical creatures and he himself was a pretty handsome dragon not some ugly troll with wings and Sparx (his dragonfly) is missing as to We fans since 1998 hate Activation's take on the Spyro games this game looks like Spyro's PlayStation Move Heroes meaning it looks bad and looks like you cant jump ether.
