@shacats626: "Do you know where I can get the video that explains all that?"
You don't need a video; it's simply true that a great many people that got politically active during Ron Paul's first presidential campaign simply transferred to their energy and activism to the Tea Party after Obama was elected. The Tea Party was later infiltrated by the likes of Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachman. Here's another video, anyway:
Just because this guy had a SIMILAR action as others did at the same time, doesn't mean the actual "tea party" group was founded by him. He says, guns, gods, & gays, but the actual tea party is about taxation without representation & smaller govt. This guy is arrogant to think he "started the tea party movement". She calls him an "original founder", when sending tea bags to DC is the ONLY thing in common he has with the tea party groups. PFFTT! He's a joke! Wasteful news reporting.
I respect this guy, and what he's saying can be gotten on board with by both conservatives and liberals. Which is why it had to be hijacked. As long as Americans are fighting each other, they aren't paying attention to the multi-national corporations that are raping this country to fatten their wallets.
Our Congress is own, bought and obedient to giant corporations that aren't even American, and have no love for this country.

Democratic and Republicans are not doing their job. Our government is not scared of us. The tea party is ran by rich Ceo. They used the poor and the uneducated white people. All American need to stand up and fight for job, taxing the rich, insurance for everybody and a good education for all kid's in public schools not private but public schools. This is not a black or white thing it's a American thing!!!!!!!!!!! :(
From the beginning, I had my real doubt on Tea Party's agenda even Mr. Obama may not a perfect person. I may not have much details, but I do feel that Tea Party may just another opportunistic hypocrites who exploit things and may make it worse than the predecessor has done.
Populist Bubble that voted against their interest. No matter are differences blacks, homos, religious beliefs, liberals, conservatives, public, or private. Its working class vs the Upper class (CEO's white collar criminals politicians Chairmens of the board). All they have done is busted unions higher gas prices more work and less money. The Tea party accomplished nothing but at least those "Niggers" are hurting more.
@J5MARLON populism is a sham half the time, and are stupid the other half. Voters need to look hard at the issues. Educated voters need to realize that they can't just follow the fads of the crowds. Each and every one of us hopefully has sentience. We all have the ability to discern right from wrong, intelligence from stupidity. READ A DIVERSITY OF BOOKS. STUDY THE SITUATION FACING THIS NATION. DO NOT SIMPLY FOLLOW WHAT YOUR FRIENDS WANT OR WHAT YOUR TV STATION TELLS YOU TO DO.
The Christian right is a dangerous organization and is getting bigger and the winds of change are blowing in their direction. The tea party has attracted the MOST radical of these people. They want personhood amendments, prayer in school, a "fair" tax, banning gay marriage and anti-sodomy laws, abstinence only sex ed for kids, creationism taught in the public schools and on and on and on. I am pulling the D lever and I am going to do my best to convince everyone I know to do it too.
It's why I liked the Ron Paul Revolution better than the Tea Party. RP'ers study law, economics, and Robert's Rules of Order so they can be a force in local government; Tea Partiers are taking pot shots in the dark. There have been some good candidates like Rand Paul and Joe Miller, but now the Tea Party is picketing to support Scott Walker?
Yeah, I saw that one coming. The problem with the Tea Party is that they never addressed the central issue with our government; no education among the voters and apathy towards gaining the proper knowledge to be a part of the government process. Once Sarah Palin became an acknowledged spokesperson for the Tea Party, I knew it was over. There's years of legislature that needs to be repealed; we need intelligent, on point, knowledgeable and fighting spirited voters and statesmen to make a change.
9) End all taxpayer subsidies for corporations. Corporatism=Socialism. Case in point: when Exxon Mobil receives annual multi-billion $ gov't subisidies and declares a $19 Billion in profit in a year, they're flying high on Socialism (it's Capitalism for the rest of us).
10) Ban all money from Federal political campaigns - freedom of speech will survive just fine.
10a) Overule the Supreme Court's decision allowing unlimited amounts of money to be infused into politcal campaigns.
THE 2 PARTY SYTEM HAS NOT BEEN THE POLITICAL FORCE FOR THE BETTER PART OF A CENTURY... I BELIEVE, AS A TRUE INDEPENDENT, THAT IT HAS HELD CONTROL FOR THE "WORST' PART OF A CENTURY. CALL IT ANYTHING YOU WANT, BUT, THE "TEA PARTY" WAS INITIALLY THE RE-BIRTH OF AN 'INDEPENDENT' PARTY... TO THROW THAT WEDGE OF CHECKS AND BALANCES BACK INTO OUR DEMOCRATIC SYSTEM.
IT HAS BEEN UNDERMINED AND MARGINALIZED BY THE "REPUBLICRATS". A 3 PARTY SYSTEM IS WHAT OUR FOREFATHERS IDEALIZED IN THEIR GRAND DESIGN.
@powertothesheeeple You forgot the biggest excuse for the police state and its growth over the decades, prohibition(s) of any *other* intoxicant besides liquors which is the only one enumerated into our Constitution. Our ninth amendment demands those other intoxicants to become over the counter items for any adult.
Those that wrote the constitution knew very well of humans intoxicants, yet not one word about them,,, unless they thought of them as those "inalienable" rights.
@jakesteel1 yes it failed tremendousely, but on purpose to turn protesting into a joke. Peacefull protest will continue to be co-opted until the mainstream media changes owners.
What happened to the Tea Party is the same thing that has and will happen to every attempt to organize a defensive action to eliminate the threat facing the US...the intentional attack by the secret societies to confuse the intentions, message and entire direction of any organizing group. I'm afraid we're going to have to take these secret societies down, starting with the Freemasons. Who's with me?
@NWOisDESTROYED You would be better off taking down the big three Abrahamic religions of frauds that hold the masses to their passive 'let god do it' tradition. Waiting for those truely organized criminals to go to the after lifes "justice" is exactly what that collection of plagiarized stories intended. You have been indoctrined to let them continue committing what ever they are willing to perpetrate.
Actually it was the media who was only willing to pay attention to the tea party when Sarah Palin and other hijacked it for their purposes. I was very sad to observe this happening in 2009. And the media could have pointed out that those hijackers had not a lot to do with the founders of the movement. But as usually the media failed.
Ha! The tea party was ALWAYS a front for big money corporations. The people who joined may have thought they stood for something more, and some of the less intelligent "leaders" may have even believed the nonsense they were spouting. But ALL of them had their strings pulled by the likes of Dick Armey and the health insurance companies he represents, as well as his counterparts in various other industries. Follow the money -- the tea party was never more than pure astro-turf.
I don't think the tea party were necessarily hijacked or taken over by the Republicans. I think the ideas that started the tea party resonated with the rank and file Republican voter.
I think there certainly is a huge effort to co-opt the tea party by the Republican party and many organized tea party groups are extensions of the Republican party but they don't represent or account for all of the people who attend tea parties.
@HoldingOnToLiberty Uh so they are all repubs yet they formed the tea party becouse of a loss of faith in bolth established parties. Wich they no longer felt a part of, but we should believe they are repubs?????????????
@spacintrvl2 The tea party came about as a result of Obama and his Congress's outrageous spending. Why Repubs jumped on it is because they were anti-Dem. Why everyone else jumped on it is because the Tea Party was trying to stop this runaway spending before it collapses our economy.
The Repub Party leadership hated the tea party at 1st. Then they decided to form coalitions in the tea party to try to steer the it more towards the Repub Party. It didn't completely work b/c of the Libertarians
It was hyjacked by assimilation, they took the original issues, and added to it some issues that aligned with the reps, then they forgot the original issues, its a very common CON game, people are just simple minded and dont see these things happening, and they can barely see past their own basic EGO much less into the real issues. They dont want to think they want someone else too.
@spacintrvl2 thats true, they are basically stuck in their id, basic impulses and desires, EGO would imply that they could think further than their own face, Sorry I forget that sometimes, people dont want to think, thats why they vote for others to think for them.
The tea party started as a libertarian movement and was hijacked by the republicans. It is now just a vehicle by which republicans try to force their ideals on people.
@RavenMichaels TEA party is not a poltical party. Its people with diverse ideas who care about this country. Left wingers don't allow for diversity of thought. Just check out the local university.
@ACORNSUCKS I never called it a party. I called it an ideology. They are claiming to be what amounts to Libertarians. Ron Paul is a Libertarian. Sarah Palin, Hannity, Bachmann, etc, are not. People like them supported big Republican Government for 8 years, and had the nerve to call people anti-American or freedom haters if anyone spoke out against their agenda. Now, they have ruined what could have been a good thing, because they wanted to separate themselves from the failure they supported...
@RavenMichaels I support Ron Paul and I get your point regarding the others. Although Palin had nothing to do with the federal buildup and did a good job by all accounts in AK. Bachmann has developed a backbone since that time, and Hannity is just..........Hannity. Bush never had a super majority like Hussein had for two years. And Bush was pretty much a dem after 2006. Ron's primary difference from those you mentioned would be on issues of foreign policy, which I agree with him wholeheartedly.
@RavenMichaels "big Republican government"? lol ... Just because the media didn't pay any attention to republicans during the Bush years, didn't mean there wasn't already a movement under way. Millions of conservative Americans have ALWAYS BEEN for a smaller government. True republicanism is based on small government. Conservatives were against wasteful spending the whole time. It just never got media coverage until it became a threat to dems who tried to make a race issue out of it.
Youtube is obviously an unamerican commie site. Don't like soveriegnty, the constitution, christian moral values, true person rights, true equality instead of entitlements, fair tax rates, earning rights and respect instead of demanding it from those you disrespect, the right to companies to run their own business without a centralized dictatorship, and so on ? Then leave us in peace to govern ourselves and live the way we see fit. Nobody is stopping you.
@gblpst81, I don't think the tea party was ever a good idea. They had good ideas, but they also had a lot of bad ones. It boggles my mind that you can have such reasonable ideas from them yet they deny global warming and Ron Paul doesn't believe in seperation of church from state. It also seems divided on what to do with social security and the federal reserve. Also I can't think of one political movement in history that accidently named itself after sexual innuendo other than this one.
On a site this big, and yet I personally haven't seen any featured videos that atleast reported on the historic midterm election from no partison view, especially a pro view, but I'm starting to see featured biased propaganda. And youtubers claim there isn't a leftist bias here lol. I have to ask a question marxist, what took you this long ? I was expecting to see rhetoric pop up a little quicker. ...............
..........Anyways, hold off until they start actually working before you judge lol. Reminds me of the 911 conspiracy nuts who were hollering on the streets before the towers even had a chance to fall. Don't like morality, fairness, or the constitution or soverignty, go make your own marxist utopia someplace else, because a lot of us are sick of your bullshit.
Todays Tea Party, Far Right Repiglicans and the lobby groups like AIPAC, are destroying America, even her greatest and closest allies, are disgraced how America is blindly siding with Israel and how America is turning more extreme. Even the CIA issued a report saying it fears that the World is seeing America as an exporter of Terrorism from Jews and Muslims and Christians. The Tea Party would never be welcomed in the UK, the US closest allie. Teat Party has open ties with the EDL known racists.
Total Bullshit. Karl Denninger is not a founder of the "Tea Party". The Tea party was founded in December 2006 when members of Boston 9/11 Truth and Truthers across the country threw cases of the fraudulent 9/11 Commission Report into Boston Harbor and other convenient bodies of water. ( watch?v=IHhQ71I_fwI) This was then hijacked by the Ron Paul Campaign, and subsequently in ultimate irony, was then co-opted by the Neo-Cons themselves who carried the 9/11 attack!
@flowingeddie My only comment would be that the Ron Paul campaign did not hijack the Tea Party. I DO remember the Tea Party being founded in Boston in 2006. However, at the very same time, the members of the Tea Party at that time supported Dr. Paul. It is not correct to say that Dr. Paul's campaign hijacked it, when he was the candidate that they were most vocally supporting. I watched with sadness as the GOP took it over. :(
@Bliu2548 Yes, you're right - I remember there was quite a Ron Paul movement in the truth community back then, until he moved away from 9/11 truth. I had hopes that Dr. Paul would go after the perps - or Kucinich but I guess it would be career suicide or maybe really being "suicided". Mike Gravel has been making some noise about the issue lately. Something is going to give soon I feel. Like your page! Blessings, Flo
He didn't found the movement. He came up with "FedUpUSA", which in turn appealed to conservatives and libertarians who in turn created the Tea Party. He's just mad because his little group got drowned out by Tea-Partiers.
"that's how politics work - we vote? For people who represent us"? That's a Joke all the parties are exactly the same and run by the same puppet masters - that's why when this party started those same people hijacked it and sent in their puppets. Two party system is a fallacy. You can vote for hope, change, tea, your grandma and you'll get the same big business, big bank elitist policies and agendas - with a bit of populous BS thrown in to hypnotize the sheeple.
Alex Jones claims he and fellow Ron Paul kooks started the Tea Party movement in 2007 a year before the Bear Stearns bailout in 2008. Let's see this kook battle Crackpot Jones over their competing claims. Either way, the guy to prosecute is Ron Paul. Without Ron Paul's "Liberty and the Free Market" we don't have Bear Stearns needing a bailout.
We don't represent the mainstream media/lobbyist/special interest groups that have corrupted the "original" grassroots organization the Ron Paul supporters founded back in 08'.
Currently, the leaders of the movement are paid by corrupt officials & lobbyist to bring it to a Fascist Neo-Con Reich wing extreme of the Republican Party, who thinks the Constitution should NOT be enforced on SOCIAL ISSUES!
Neo-Con Fasicst AIPAC whores, that should be the name of the "current" Tea Party!
The guy is absolutely right - the Tea Party was taken over by the Tea Party EXPRESS (The Corporations w/ their expensive buses) to get more corrupt CORPORATE WHORES in Congress.
3:27 Uh, yes we can and do deny that silly allegation of hers. When people heard of the Tea Party, They heard Taxed Enough Already, and that was pretty much the selling point right there. Find someone who disagrees with that. The republicans got scared and injected poison pill Palin into the mix, but people are smart enough to see through her Lenscrafter glassesinto the eyes of a derelict poser.
The tea party has only been taken over in the media's eyes. Most tea partiers don't see Sarah Palin or Newt Gingrich or any other GOP establishment politician as the leader. Only Ron Paul is the exception. Ron Paul is the champion of the constitution and wants to END THE FED. The control of MONEY is the KEY to all of our problems.

Only Ron Paul is the exception. Ron Paul is the champion of the constitution and wants to END THE FED. The control of MONEY is the KEY to all of our problems.
The Tea Party was always full of morons. The right wing in America has no argument, they're children who scream NOOOOOO every time someone tries to help them with reform, or policy measures. That includes Ron Paul whose policies would essentially hand the country over to corporate interests.
@solimiansky I call bullshit! Evidence? Myself, and many other left and tea party people who also want to take the country back because it's runned by wall-street, and I'm Mexican so you know that at least I don't care about white presidents.
The real disagreement is whether socialism works or not, I think it doesn't, so I'm a Tea Partier.
@AustrianAtheist They are against the bail-out and against banks receiving billions, so yes. The Tea-Party rather see all of those wall-street banks and firms bankrupt. I don't know how you think there isn't a disagreement here in the US about socialism. It would be erroneous to say that the US is mostly capitalist because it's certainly hasn't been for a long time. US can fit the description of a mixed economy instead.
Part 2: I miss-interpreted your socialism comment.
The theory is that anything the government takes over it's going to do it inefficiently compared to the private sector. If socialism takes over enough of the economy it's going to ruin it. So it doesn't work for the most part.
I hear Europe has a lot of socialism. If Europe were to embrace capitalism it would have a stronger "real" economy.
So how come, that the quality of living in the countries that follow the Scandinavian model is the best of the world?
The purpose of the economy is the people, not the other way round. Many people think, that the purpose of life is to become the richest man in the cemetry and that the country with the highest GDP wins. That is bullshit. The policy that makes us happy is the right one. not the policy that makes some people super-rich
Firstly, I'm not familiar with the Scandinavian model or their definition of socialism, but one thing is certain, any government that implements it will use propaganda to either skew the view of it's effectiveness, or to skew it's authenticity. My suspicion is that it's the former, in which then the case can be made that if there was less socialism their economies would still be stronger than they already are.
Secondly, the purpose of the economy should be to allow you to make your own wealth and keep it. If that's for the people, then you can say capitalism is for the people. Socialism is for certain groups who are considered to be in greater need, it isn't for “all” people. Thirdly, being the richest man under a capitalist society does no harm, to society if not good.
Given the capitalist isn't directly stealing wealth from others (which would be a crime, as arguably the wall-street people have done), he is doing good by earning his wealth by creating goods or products efficiently for everybody to consume. Finally, even if the individual just inherited his money, he can just invest it to allow companies to grow. Even after that, if it just sits in a bank, it is then used to allow others to get credit through loans.
@GeminiK part 2. the original term economy was in ancient greece and was the term to describe the activities of every living thing.
Our narcissistic greedy selfish laissez-faire capitalist culture has striped the sacredness from everything and externalized any costs it found unbearable. The idea that the financial markets of this world function efficiently is a evil joke when you go and look at any city waste dump or polluted river or swim next to the new island of rubbish in the pacific ocean
Also one likely objection you might have is that even so, capitalism brings the economy to ruin when left unbridled by government. Well, upon closer analysis of the US financial crisis, the root causes can be argued to be the fault of the US central bank compounded by a socialist mortgage program, instead of any fundamental capitalist principle.
This is anecdotal, but I'm sure that upon further study you will find its fundamentals to be solid.
@GeminiK the US Federal bank is a private firm not owned by the people but by a small group of individuals....the "socialist" (read affordable) mortgage program was really set up to increase turn over and profits for the banks (namely the FED)... It was a classic capitalist elite program.. hook the poor into a program in which the costs will spiral out of control. And no the economy is not there to make you rich and keep it.. it is the system of goods and services exchange.
Tea Baggers were never populist, from the first moment they have been owned by corporate interests, the Koch brothers in particular. This dude is crazy if he thinks it was ever anything else, populism was used as a ruse to draw people in, there was never any intention of punishing corporations from the people who actually ran the Tea Baggers. Create phony issues to distract them, like gay marriage and specious claims of a Ground Zero mosque and let the Citizen United debacle destroy democracy.
if i remember correctly wasn't the tea party filled with 911 truther? This guys organized a tea party meeting and all of a sudden hes the founder of tea party. Btw Ron Paul did not start anything, he never starts anything, its Ron Paul supporters who did
Every Tea Party idiot I've talked to was exactly that: an idiot.
None that I've met had a clue what they were talking about. In fact, their most striking characteristic is that they're truly ignorant about virtually every topic that they're so passionately vocal about.
I can respect a person that disagrees with me when it's obvious that they truly understand *both* sides of each issue, and have made an "informed" choice about where they stand on that issue.
The Tea Party WAS hijacked. I saw it up close and personal. We original members stood for all 7 listed above. Now it's OWS who stands for every single thing listed 1-7. The Tea Party began by Ron Paul supporters, it was a constant theme in his 2007 candidacy.
.
While Denninger does endorse some small government, free market principles, he can routinely be seen attacking Ron Paul's monetary policies.
.
Hey Denniger, Ron Paul has been warning us for decades and predicting the collapses for years before they occurred.

Where were you?

The Christian right is a dangerous organization and is getting bigger and the winds of change are blowing in their direction. The tea party has attracted the MOST radical of these people. They want personhood amendments, prayer in school, a "fair" tax, banning gay marriage and anti-sodomy laws, abstinence only sex ed for kids, creationism taught in the public schools and on and on and on. I am pulling the D lever and I am going to do my best to convince everyone I know to do it too.
christo930 11 months ago
It's why I liked the Ron Paul Revolution better than the Tea Party. RP'ers study law, economics, and Robert's Rules of Order so they can be a force in local government; Tea Partiers are taking pot shots in the dark. There have been some good candidates like Rand Paul and Joe Miller, but now the Tea Party is picketing to support Scott Walker?
TimWatkins 11 months ago 2

You will hear NONE of the following objectives by the current Tea Party:
1) Ending Homeland Security
2) Ending the Patriot Act
3) Ending unwarranted eavesdropping on American citizens
4) Ending corporate control of all gov't agencies
5) Complete oversight by Congress of the Fed or ending the Fed
6) Bringing back iron-clad regulations on Big Banking (Glass-Steagall, Usury Laws, etc.)
7) Stopping military invasions and occupations of sovereign nations and reducing bases around the world.

@powertothesheeeple You forgot the biggest excuse for the police state and its growth over the decades, prohibition(s) of any *other* intoxicant besides liquors which is the only one enumerated into our Constitution. Those that wrote the constitution knew very well of humans intoxicants, yet not one word about them,,, unless they thought of them as those "inalienable" rights.

I'm afraid we're going to have to take these secret societies down, starting with the Freemasons. Who's with me?

Actually it was the media who was only willing to pay attention to the tea party when Sarah Palin and other hijacked it for their purposes. I was very sad to observe this happening in 2009. The people who joined may have thought they stood for something more, and some of the less intelligent "leaders" may have even believed the nonsense they were spouting. But ALL of them had their strings pulled by the likes of Dick Armey and the health insurance companies he represents, as well as his counterparts in various other industries.

ACORNSUCKS 6 months ago 2
@ACORNSUCKS I never called it a party. I called it an ideology. They are claiming to be what amounts to Libertarians. Ron Paul is a Libertarian. Sarah Palin, Hannity, Bachmann, etc, are not. People like them supported big Republican Government for 8 years, and had the nerve to call people anti-American or freedom haters if anyone spoke out against their agenda. Now, they have ruined what could have been a good thing, because they wanted to separate themselves from the failure they supported...
RavenMichaels 6 months ago
@RavenMichaels I support Ron Paul and I get your point regarding the others. Although Palin had nothing to do with the federal buildup and did a good job by all accounts in AK. Bachmann has developed a backbone since that time, and Hannity is just..........Hannity. Bush never had a super majority like Hussein had for two years. And Bush was pretty much a dem after 2006. Ron's primary difference from those you mentioned would be on issues of foreign policy, which I agree with him wholeheartedly.
ACORNSUCKS 6 months ago
@RavenMichaels "big Republican government"? lol ... Just because the media didn't pay any attention to republicans during the Bush years, didn't mean there wasn't already a movement under way. Millions of conservative Americans have ALWAYS BEEN for a smaller government. True republicanism is based on small government. Conservatives were against wasteful spending the whole time. It just never got media coverage until it became a threat to dems who tried to make a race issue out of it.

( watch?v=IHhQ71I_fwI) This was then hijacked by the Ron Paul Campaign, and subsequently in ultimate irony, was then co-opted by the Neo-Cons themselves who carried the 9/11 attack!
flowingeddie 1 year ago

Mike Gravel has been making some noise about the issue lately. Something is going to give soon I feel. Like your page! Blessings, Flo

AustrianAtheist 1 year ago
@AustrianAtheist They are against the bail-out and against banks receiving billions, so yes. The Tea-Party rather see all of those wall-street banks and firms bankrupt. I don't know how you think there isn't a disagreement here in the US about socialism. It would be erroneous to say that the US is mostly capitalist because it's certainly hasn't been for a long time. US can fit the description of a mixed economy instead.
GeminiK 1 year ago
@AustrianAtheist
GeminiK 1 year ago
So how come, that the quality of living in the countries that follow the Scandinavian model is the best of the world?
The purpose of the economy is the people, not the other way round. Many people think, that the purpose of life is to become the richest man in the cemetry and that the country with the highest GDP wins. That is bullshit. The policy that makes us happy is the right one. not the policy that makes some people super-rich
AustrianAtheist 1 year ago
@AustrianAtheist Part 1:
Continued...
GeminiK 1 year ago
@AustrianAtheist Part 2:
Continued...
GeminiK 1 year ago
@AustrianAtheist Part 3:
Continued...
GeminiK 1 year ago
@GeminiK part 2. the original term economy was in ancient greece and was the term to describe the activities of every living thing.
Our narcissistic greedy selfish laissez-faire capitalist culture has striped the sacredness from everything and externalized any costs it found unbearable. The idea that the financial markets of this world function efficiently is a evil joke when you go and look at any city waste dump or polluted river or swim next to the new island of rubbish in the pacific ocean
73Paulicstar 1 year ago
@AustrianAtheist Part 4:
GeminiK 1 year ago
@GeminiK the US Federal bank is a private firm not owned by the people but by a small group of individuals....the "socialist" (read affordable) mortgage program was really set up to increase turn over and profits for the banks (namely the FED)... It was a classic capitalist elite program.. hook the poor into a program in which the costs will spiral out of control. And no the economy is not there to make you rich and keep it.. it is the system of goods and services exchange.
