why not?. I love Powerslave and "Number of the Beast" as much as anyone. And I'm not putting them down at all. I was merely making the point that people regard the latest albums as substandard, but I love them as much as I do the old stuff. And sorry if I have to hate the Blaze albums to be a "real Maiden fan" (the song's were still written by Steve Harris just like classic Maiden). I like NPFTD and FotD but there I didn't realise you had to dislike certain albums to be a fan of the band.

whatsmore, if there are weak albums of the 90s era, they are either "No Prayer..." or "Virtual XI" Blaze has little to do with it in terms of the songs. The songs on NPFTD are badly written and not up to the standard of "Dance of Death" or "Brave New World" let alone "Powerslave".

I personally prefer Maiden's three latest albums, the old stuff's classic but I love the new stuff more. The Blaze albums in my opinion are far better than "Fear of the Dark" and "No Prayer for the Dying".

I love the old stuff, but the new albums are great albums as well. Although, i do really like No Prayer For The Dying and Fear Of The Dark is solid 2...under rated in my eyes. The song No prayer For The Dying is actually a really good song. It's got a very chill intro and cool clean verse part then picks up. Mother Russia, Hooks In You, Judas Be My Guide, Afraid To Shoot Strangers, all good songs.
