Dude what is the difference in feeling between the 335xdrive and the M3? I really wanna know because I'm debating to get an M3 or a GT-r and I've already driven the 335xdrive.
@scoopmaster69 HP and the torque- you need to rev higher with the M3 to reach the full 400+ hp you dont in a 335- you do get options to adjust the ride with the m - you wont with the 335- 335 will obv be cheaper, but dont take our word for it, you really need to drive both for yourself- if you were between a 325 and m3 then the choice for me is very obvious M no doubt- 335 and M are compariable
So funny! An old, gay couple test driving cars. The poor salesman that had to listen to these two 'queens' banging on and doing an impromptu video for Christ's sake!!! This drive must have just been the most uncomfortable thing I have seen for a while. Nice going boys...
Also, at 1:18--1:20, he hit the accelerator before engaging the clutch, raising the engine rpm and then engaging the clutch. One can hear the sound and forward lurch at 1:19--1:20.
2:33--2:40 -- what was that?! And he did it two times. How long have you driven a manual car? No offence, but it's better to get some practice or lessons driving a manual before driving this marvellous car. For the kind of launch you wanted, there is no need to get the engine beyond say 1500rpm. Something between 1200--1500rpm is ideal. You shouldn't rev it to 2500rpm and then release the clutch very slowly to get a smooth launch!
You're a tool.... Why do you insist on going to test drive a car when you don't even know everything about it first... You constantly ask questions... Really doesn't make for a good video, sorry.
wow that interior is very weak for a MCheeze.... looks l ike a normal 3 series interior with the minor M badges on the ggauges... NOt even close to an Audi RS5... no comparison
New 5k RPM? When I worked at the lot the a 335i wouldn't stay running for longer than a second..service guy comes out starts it and holds his foot to the floor and revs it for a while. "Must have a bad batch of gas"
@zachattack83 High Pressure Fuel Pump. All the N54 and N55 engines are plagued by this minor issue. We got our car 20k off sticker because it had a replaced HPFP :)
BMW is the Most Rubbish quality car ever made on Planet earth, tons of continuous problems one after another, look at JD Power IQS rating BMW was and is always below industry average!!!
@Deangist No question, the M5 felt (and is) faster in a straight line. The M3, however, felt much lighter and more nimble. On a track, I'd take the M3.
@YOUBETCHA21 more specifically the ride, I know about all the specs tho thanks. Any different feelings when you were driving?such as a stronger suspension or lower ride height etc.?
@crooner12 He did ride the clutch pretty bad, but i'll only give him the benefit of the doubt because he pushed the m button which increased the throttle response. you can hear at 1:42 he wasn't ready for that much rev with the same throttle input as before, but he should have adjusted after that.
@seanisagamer i get your point but it really isnt just like you think, when you drive the car a lot in a european country you will realize what i mean.fuel here is a lot more expensive than in US...
Hello again! I was wondering if you have driven an M3 coupe. If so, how would you compare the two? i am more of a sedan guy but ive been noticing that many people on youtube claim that the coupe is the way to go. thanks
@KidBelmont92 The coupe is a bit lighter, feels slightly more nimble, but personally I could go either way. The sedan is obviously more practical, but don't think that's a compromise. Either car is pretty kick-ass if you ask me. The only variant I would not recommend is the convertible. It's just too heavy.
Still amazes me how many "thumbs up" we got that day from fellow BMW drivers. It's a shame this will likely be the last of the great naturally aspirated "M" cars.
@crooner12 Oh. I was worried they were getting rid of the sedan. Great vid, cant wait to see more. I was also wondering if you've driven a newer m3 (09',10) with a dual clutch transmission and could compare it to just a manual. I live in a fairly busy city, (Toronto) and was wondering what you would suggest. Thanks.
@KidBelmont92 Well, I drove an '08 with the DCT (pretty much identical to the newer ones...I think) and it was fantastic. Granted, back then I didn't know how to drive a manual, so I would have gone with the DCT. It shifts super fast and is pretty tractable. However, the enthusiast in me would still get the 6MT. If you're doing heavy city driving, the DCT is the better option hands down. Although, personally, I'd just metro in the city and get a 6MT for the country and track.
Guys, he really couldn't rev it the way he wanted to because if you listen at the beginning he says 'since this is a new car he can not rev it above 5,000 rpm' so the gear changes were bound to be rough...
@holdupsway well it kinda is. in jp, we have the exact same car except with a cheaper badge called the soarer. dude i tell you, its replacement sc430 is seriously underpowered for a v8 because its got about 260bhp. this bmw has 420bhp - thats a lot more. plus the bmw looks better, has a better sound and more practical
@JimmyChannel1 well obviously the bmw is the better car, but I'm not a fan of the v8 engine in the sc430, I'm a fan of the 6 cylinder version that includes the 2jz :)
