Vince dunked over a soft 7'0 European softy trying to take a charge on a small forward! He has to challenge that! Although that was sweet! It look like a dunk contest dunk with someone standing there!
Typical MJ and why he's the greatest! He avoids the double team trap with a reverse dribble ( the best at beating double teams). Then drives and dunks over a challenging 7'0 hall fame defender in Ewing in the playoffs! (always coming up BIG in the crucial moments)! How high can you get? To me considering the elements: playoffs, no layup D like the Knicks, and the will of a player to get it done under impossible circumstances with a trapping Knicks D with Oakley and Starks then dunking over E
"Hmm, double teamed here, I'll just throw up a few pump fakes, get rid of the white guy.Ok there he goes, now I'll blow past Starks. Oh here comes Oakley, hey guys I'm goin back to the corner, haha fooled ya's I'm actually gonna go baseline, cya! Imma dunk this sh1t on your 7ft big man, lemme just get some air, oh Patrick's getting up pretty high himself I'm gonna have to go higher, yeah, yeah I know it defies the laws of physics ....ok that's high enough now to dunk this sucker......BOOM!!!!
Greatest dunk of all time by the greatest player of all time. Kobe wishes he could have a dunk, a highlight reel, a career as great as Jordan's. Too bad ho.
He almost didn't make the dunk because his elbow was hitting the freaking rim.. Not in a contest by himself, but in a play coming off a 2 on one and going into one of the best 7 foot centers in history. AMAZING!!!! BEST DUNK EVER!! still.
im a soccer player, and i dont like basketball much, but seeing moves like this is just wow, his agility, mentality, vision, skill, and FLAIR is just WOW.
yup... don't care if it's jordan... he carried at 0:30- 0:34 his hand clearly goes underneath the ball. got away with it just like he got away with pushing bryon russell before the shot in utah.
happens all the time, seen kobe walk more than any other baller...seen more blatant carries than this one too - don't hate, Jordan was/will be the best player to take to the hardwood.
#1. It's an illusion of the super slow frame. At real speed, you can't even SEE the millisecond his hand was close to (and not "clearly") being under the ball as he turned the corner.
#2. Enough with the moronic "Jordan pushed Byron" crap. Have you ever seen that play from the sideline angle? You can CLEARLY see Byron slips & falls a good distance AWAY from Michael in that angle while attempting to turn around after being crossed over. Michael had a hand on him, but that is NOT why he fell.
lol yea he did, look at the beggining, he twist on list left foot (pivot foot) then moves both to go to the left before dribbling a.k.a. travel....still love it tho
I'VE SEEN THIS THING SO MANY TIMES (ALWAYS BLOWS MY MIND) and have just noticed (SHAME ON ME) that Ewing JUMPED AFTER MJ WENT UP FOR THE JAM AND CAME DOWN BEFORE MJ DID WITH MJ STILL RISING A LITTLE. WHAT A PLAY!!! MJ literally had no where to go but up, and UP IS WHERE HE WENT! It's funny; there was a comment on youtube which read, "it wasn't a dunk since MJ hit the rim with his forehand"; DUH! That's what happens when you jump a little too high in order to keep the ball away from a defender.
after watching this move many times now, i have to say this is the best move/play in his career....it's amazing how he's trapped baseline (by two solid defenders), but breaks BOTH of their ankles and then serves up the biggest facial on patrick ewing (one of the best shot blockers in NBA history)...oh yeah, and it was an AND 1..FUCK me.
Wow! Kudos to mixing the two angles, I just wish you had had the local version, the one that was on SportsChannel Chicago, in my area, they had an angle from the normal pan-court view. At the end, with the gunshot and "Made You Look" added with whatever visual effects on the Jumpman insignia is absolutely awesome.
starks was looking at the top row in the stadium, oakley had only just turned around when god was jumping... ewing in his whole career has been MJ's bitch... only got to the finals after he retired and choked... i like ewing like...
It's hard to say what's better the dunk or the move that shook Oakley, and Starks, and puts Starks on skates. Combine the dunk and the move and you've got maybe the sickest plays ever.
