What I saw in this match was that Angle clearly had more energy and was more aggressive over a guy who was presumed to be the superior athlete. If this was boxing I could clearly see a victory by split decision for Angle. Which I'm guessing is how one could translate victory by criteria. Understand that WWE is entertainment. The olympics are athletic competition. In my opinion Angle deserved this victory even if in the actual viewing it is hard to understand by the average eye.
I beg to differ. Angle couldn't do anything to Abbas when he was on top. Abbas kept schooling Angle. He was scoring.. repeatedly. The ref kept blowing the whistle. It was complete bullshit. Angel, The Steiners, and Brock Lesner were the only ones in the pro circuts who actually are real wreslters. Though the mat style that made Kurt famous is actually gone, but what you see with Brock you see it more in the MMA styles.

What I saw in this match was that Angle clearly had more energy and was more aggressive over a guy who was presumed to be the superior athlete. If this was boxing I could clearly see a victory by split decision for Angle. Which I'm guessing is how one could translate victory by criteria. Understand that WWE is entertainment. The olympics are athletic competition. In my opinion Angle deserved this victory even if in the actual viewing it is hard to understand by the average eye.

I beg to differ. Angle couldn't do anything to Abbas when he was on top. Abbas kept schooling Angle. He was scoring.. repeatedly. The ref kept blowing the whistle. It was complete bullshit. And if you say Angle had more energy and more aggression... where was it? Where was it when he was on top of Abbas? Abbas was like a rock. He wasn't going anywhere. No matter what Angle tried to do, he couldn't move or turn Abbas.
