Who is Marcelo Rios? He is a Chilean tennis player who was the first Latin American to reach #1 in the world and first player in tennis history to win the three clay-court Masters Series tournaments. So don't doubt the man he was a great tennis player.

I can't deny he was a "special" player who's character didn't leave much to be admired. But its important to not mix his personal life with his life inside the court. To say the least Marcelo Rios was a better player in terms of best ranking (Tim only got up to 4th), career titles (Rios has 18 Tim has 11), and overall achievements. Though for his personality Rios was just straight up badly mannered sometimes.

Rios retired because of bone related problems that brought him some knee and hip injuries. Currently he plays on the senior league and he's doing great!
