In indirect free kicks one player must make a small pass to another player so he shoots. Referee signalizes indirect free kicks by raising his hand. Stoitchkov didn't see referees hand so he thought it was direct and shooted. Nigerians' deffense was ready for an indirect free kick. Anything against Stoichkov.
