I understand soldiers from America introduced raccoons to Europe in Germany. They are actually very inteligent creatures and are fun to watch.

But yes, they do eat chickens in the wild and are known to raid chicken coops in America for a meal.

Stregthen your chicken enclosure, dont harm the raccoons.....
