  • Lovely performance. Really beautifully played.

I can't help but notice, though, from 2:37 to 2:50, the song. bears a strong resemblance to another, quite famous piece I've heard somewhere. Especially at 2:49, where your right hand hits an E and moves up to F#... except the other piece I'm thinking of repeats the E instead of hitting F#. Do you have any idea what I'm thinking of?

  • @Incendiae4 thank you!

I don't remember any particular piece. Surely, the chopinesque and romantic mood and melodic patterns are "in air"...

  • @SarrasaniPianoCircus By the way, I meant C instead of E. My bad.

Hmm, thanks for trying to identify it anyway. ;)

  • @Incendiae4

    Schubert op. 90n.4 central part?

  • @SarrasaniPianoCircus

    Precisely!

  • I have to ask: Do you take requests? I can't help but notice that you have not uploaded any more of your beautiful performances in over a year. I showed your videos to a friend and she would be delighted if you played Mozart's Turkish Rondo and wore the hat that you were wearing in your video of Mendelssohn's Song Without Words op. 67 no.2.

  • @wiwa94

Hi! and thank you. I'l begin again (I hope) to make videos, and I'll consider your requests.

    Bye!!!

  • Sandro, what a heart felt performance! Beautiful music. Thank you so much!

  • Thank you by heart!

  • as always your artistry and love of music was ultimately expressed in this wonderful piece...not so complete without seeing you as well Sandro...but we thank you always for your generosity and kind heart...goodluck on your photography, perhaps soon you'll be able to share with us all the treasure and beauty you have captured with your camera...Happy holiday and keep safe and healthy as well.♫

  • 1st time I heard this....gentle and very expressive...can generate emotions.. thanks..

  • Your playing has an unpretentious beauty

  • BUt Thank you! Told by a musician of your class.....again thank you.

I think the decent mics I use have their weight.

    Bye!

  • This is a very musical performance of a nice and meditative piece. You play it with a great sensivity. Bravo! I´m missing more actual videos of you, Sandro! This is from march and we have 1st of may and you usually were always very productive. Hope, nothing serious happened!

  • Serious.....I'm becoming passionate about photography, this is the fact.

But I continue with piano, only a more "prudent" approach.

Bye Andreas, thank you, and again congratulations for your last wonderful Chopin nocturne.

  • Oh, photography is very interesting indeed and the combination of music and pictures (also movies) is a very creative and interesting field. May be you can combine both interests? (I would like to recommend the videos of Truus1949 on youtube. You can find the link below my last Chopin-video.)

  • Really, really awesome melody and playing.

  • Thank you by heart for your attention.

  • This is a beautiful piece of music interpreted wonderfully. I am very proud of my fathers composition and its the first time I've heard it played by someone else. It has added a special magic to it.

  • Oh, these are really good words, thank you much. The reality is that this piece is so poetic and pleasurable to play.

  • I do not know this composer. It is wonderful.

  • I've known and listened to Don's work for many years, this prelude in particular is one of my favourites. Played here by Sandro as Don has written it ... from the heart!

    Neil

  • Thank you much! I feel this music so sincere and expressive, really a pleasure to play it.

  • I've known and listened to Don's work for many years, this prelude in particular is from the heart and so very , very moving.

    My favourite!

    Neil

  • BEautiful Playing Sandro.I hope you saw my video as well.

  • A lovely piece - extremely well done *****

  • beautiful, very good, well done.

  • Oh, too much kind, thank you. I admit to be really happy because the composer wrote he liked. Each interpretation is unique and personal, but it's better if it doesn't go AGAINST the composer desires. With living composers one can control this.

  • It's a gift you have, and it is great that other people can hear you playing these's music on YT.

  • Thank you Sandro, that was a wonderful rendition of my Prelude in Db, it made me so happy to hear it played by such a proficient pianist as yourself, the feeling you put into it comes over perfect. All my thanks Don..

  • All my thanks to you, Don, and my most sincere congratulations for this so fascinating and poetic piece.

  • Beautiful piece as well as a wonderful performance.

    Bravo !

  • This is beautiful!

  • I didn't know this composer! beautiful!! quel rafinement!

  • Sandro, what happened with your video?

    Laura

  • Uh, the camcorder refused to take my facials. I put "ON" but remains only dark screen.....

  • wow

    that's beautiful

  • Ah, ok....Thank you much. So fine this piece, isn't it?

  • Very beautiful! BUT, we miss seeing you. Thanks.
