  • i have a question .. i went to get my nails did .. i got acrylic nails with white tip with a uv gel top coat.. but i was wonder when the nail technician put the acrylic on my nails she sais to put them under the uv light... why is that ... i thought you arent sopose to :s

  • Great video!

  • Emm, i'm no expert yet but I'm pretty sure you're NOT supposed to file back and forth like that..she's running the risk of splitting/damaging the nails by doing that..file in one direction only.

  • @BabybluePuff

I'm a nail technician and it has actually been proven that lightly filing back and forth helps to seal the free edge and stop it from peeling - the same procedure as running the file vertically down the free edge. The idea that filing back and forth is bad came from a long long time ago when files were very coarse (made from sand stuck to board) and yes, this did damage the nail.

  • Which acrylic powder are you using, white, clear or pink. What is the best acrylic powder and liquid to use?

  • @Reisha888 im no nail tech but i do my own nails and i think it depends on the look your going for which color you want to use . recently i bought a beautiful color at sally's from china glaze called a rose among thorns and its so sheer with the clear acrylic i redid them using white acrylic and makes the color stand out way much better . however the white to me is the thickest and hardest among acrylics that you can use so really make sure you file or e-drill very well.

  • Beautiful nail applicaiton and end results....

  • ...tragedia stylizacyjna ... bleee...

  • Could someone write down the equipment needed thats used in this video!?

  • 1:16 scares me. it looks like a witch's hand with all the nails twisted, really not pretty, I wonder how some people can keep their nails that lenght O_O

  • ummmm im a guy and just wondering... I just want to use Acrylic Nails for fingerstyle guitar cause my nails keep breaking really easily. I can skip like 90% of everything in this video right? I just need to glue them onto my nails and snipped them to size pretty much right?

  • @TDGdude no. You would just be adhering a tip cutting it and that would just break off; you have to apply the acrylic to make it stronger. however my advice to you is a fabric wrap. You apply a thin layer or resin fabric accelerator and then a building resin, it makes your nails stronger than anything else you can get, and the fabric is hardly noticable.

  • I think this video was made from 1922! haha

  • Ugh im pissed the lady that did my nailsdid a crappy job.

  • i go have my nails done at a place called usa nails in harrogate and its 30 pound for a full set and there all chinese so and there really good though

  • how long do the acrylic nails last? and how much do they cost?

  • Does Stay For How Long ?

  • @vava6011 about 2-4 weeks if you take care of it well

  • i love it!!!

  • The Nail Tech accross the street doesn't push back the cuticals like she should and complains about seeing some people more often than she thinks they should. She shouldn't complain especially when she is making money. She sands the nails a lot and doesn't spray at all like this Nail Tech.

  • i watched your video and tried doing nails myself but doesn't matter what i do ...i can never get shining in my nails. i filed my nails with so many different types but same problem i get at the end. Can you please give me any suggestion? i'll really appreciate your help.

  • I like the way you check the length! I've always seen the cross over method. I like yours better!

  • @LovableNails WoW I think its amazing your starting at such a young age! Keep it up, and good luck!

  • natural nails re way to go. i ve had gel, acryl, solar and its okey but the whole "1 or 2 break" some fall off, other chip, then you cant get them off, filing them takes forever. but ye biting is worse ;p.

  • ciao ragazze se volete siti dove comprare kit a poco prezzo e di qualità eccolo c'è di tutto!!!! io l'ho acquistato qui...fantastico!!!!

    ecco il link : stores.ebay.it/rosa-nails2010

  • lol,i was in salon yesterday, doing my nails, and the woman who were working on them, did every single step the same like in this video, like i watched myself in the salon, thats how i felt watching this video, lol.

  • yuck i hate acrylics...i think the look of huge thick plastic nails are disgusting and when they start growing out omg. it easier to grow ur nails at home and then you can redo them whenever you want

  • @JennelleBelle i agree, specially after having gelnails, acrylicnails and solarnails i agree "home" nails re the best. Just growing them out/trimming them/taking care. But its a bit hard growing them hence nailbiting ;p.

  • @eddylon1983 i work for who? AND DONT CALL ME A LYING FUCK U SAD PATHETIC PISS OF LOW LIFE SHIT!

  • I'm only ten years old and I've already had two pairs of acrylic nails isn't the wierd

  • hey,I was wondering if it heart when you get them does it heart?

  • @lostmoon3374 for me the first time i got them done it hurt, but it doesn't anymore

  • it wuldve been reallli helpful if wrote wat she as usin step by step

  • hi=)

    i love your tutorial..

i hope you can help me with my question.. when i do my own and others nails after a few hours they lift around the edges.. but not on the tip.. i tried so many different things.. buffing the nail a bit more.. dehydrate.. and and and..

(sorry if my english isn't that good..)

  • sweeterthanpoison- i had this problem and was told that the crystallizing is due to the liquid and/or the cliants hands are cold. putting a warm towel under the cliants hands should help. :P

  • This is totally classy .You can always tell superior work because the nail technician will NEVER use a drill, and NEVER rip your cuticles off with a cuticle nipper. The attention to detail here is remarkable. Nicely done.

  • @cutieface2007: thats called "steriotyping"

  • *stereotyping :)

  • lol "stereotyping"

  • Maybe you can help me with this problem: I make m nails since 3 years myself but in the last 4 months, it happened several times that the acrylic started to crystallize or the acrylic starts lifting from the middle out. Is my primer bad or what is wrong?

    Thank you!

  • I've spent a lot of money getting my nails done "professionally" only to have them lift after a few days and the pink fill-in lines are horrible. I want to do my own nails and figure the cost of the products are about getting your own done 3 times. Well worth it. I especially LOVE all the color "white" videos I've been seeing. Much more flair than the traditional pink/white. Great video!

  • I was just wondering what you meant by all the "extra" stuff she did? She is doing the proper, safe and sanitary procedure for acrylic nails- thats why i ask what you meant about "extra" stuff?

  • I love how the nails look like I swear at the end how at the top of the nail the glittery gray looks im gonna get them like that on my friend wedding Im wearing a black and white dress that can match with my nails!

THANKYOU SO MUCH FOR THE IDEA!

  • u should get them, ive gotten mine done just like this for prom, and evryone loved it.!!! :)

  • @mzeuuro

that is a nail cooler it just dries the nails

  • BestBlo(.)com

  • whats that machine thing do at the end?

  • she aplied UV gel on the acrylic nails, and UV gel doesn't dry if you don't put it under a UV lamp! that's the machine a UV lamp(:

  • how do you make the acrylis last longer. I just put mine on 3 days ago, they are already lifting? Whats the trick? I did file the natural nail before I applied and put primer????

  • that was the big problem for me becuase i wasnt using the same powder with the same brand as my liquid and when i changed it, everything was better no more lifting. oh and make sure u file off ALL the shine from natural nail. .. hope this was helpful :)

  • did you try a dehydrant

  • maybe you applied the acrylic on your skin or you didn't take out the cuticle right!

  • i had the same problems a few weeks ago. first, the acrylic powder is cheap stuff if it lifts in 3 days. Second, go to ur nail salon and ask for solar nails. they look the same, but mine havent lifted and its been 2 weeks. i work alot with my hands too.

  • there is no legal age for acrylic nails..

  • @livlahstar omg ikr , im so sick of people saying 'omg your to young to have acrylic nails , enjoy being a kid" like seriously i may be 11 but goondess im not 3 years old . [ i know im late but whatever LOL )

  • great video.. i have a problem with acrylic when i use it all the way to extend the nails.. they seem to pop off after a while.. what am i doing wrong?

  • i bought an acrylic set the other day.. even though i have no idea wat to do with it (it was on sale so i thought why not) but after watching this video just 2 times, i have mastered it already!.. not perfect but soon i can start charging lol great video x

  • @3spirit were did you get the set ..............Please coment back

  • @3spirit

were did you buy the set ........please coment back

  • @Cl0e235 you buy the set @ sallys, walgreens, any convienient store

  • @3spirit you work for them you lying fuck

  • @3spirit go girl i tried it 3 times and im gona do it today first try i put the liquid in a foam cup and it melted the stuff and went down the drain lol but now i think i have mastered it too im only 11 :0

  • @LovableNails I dont know where you live but if you live near a sally's you can get a dappen dish for about .99-$1.49. They are glass and they are used for acrylic and/or brush cleaner/acetone

  • @LovableNails Acetone eats away at Styrofoam lol :) It would be best if you put it in a glass container :)

  • @3spirit what acrylic set did you buy bc I'm trying to look for one to start practicing but idk which kit is the best

  • ...and there is NO need to use a hand drill!

  • This has to be hands the best application of nails I have every seen! Very professional and beautiful

  • This reminds me I need to get mine done!

  • I think it was a primer pen. I just got one, i was shock. Its creative!

  • What was the white pencil looking object that you used after applying the primer? I've not seen it before. Was it a Creative product??

  • Lovely! Some silly nail techs just do the gel and they're like 'all done!' without filing then buffing. Sure they look done but they're very fat. Fat nails are the worst!

  • Where do you get the stuff from to do them at home? X

  • SALLYS

  • what if they're not your size?!

  • Perfect Application! For those of you who want to learn. This is how its done.

  • you gave her very delicate, personalized touches that's what the pros do

  • Where does this lady work?? I wanna get my nails done by her!! LOL

  • this is proffesional...cos really, in the nail shops down here, they dont go through all this, they rush it...watcha expeCt...they're mostly oriental people aswell... O_o (( no offence ))

  • Oriental is not a people.. read a book.

  • ohh shatapp...go && run yourself over..

  • I have to agree with you to a point. I have only found one nail tech that does a halfway decent job out of the many I have been to. In many of the Vietnamese salons that I have been to (which is all of them) I almost never see a license displayed and sanitary practice is almost completely absent and they have taken over the industry producing mostly bad work. Sad, but true

  • I agree with you on the unsanitary part, went for my first ever pedicure (can't do my own lol as a nail tech), 2 months later (was good polish mind you) lo-and behold fungus! I have always used gel products. I was interested in moving into Acrylic end so I am trying to pick up all the tips I can here

  • @melaniestevens I don't know which Vietnamese nails shop you have been to but the one I have been to doesn't look like the one you mention.

  • @melaniestevens oh i hear u....once i told the vietnamese lady doing my nails i wanted to open my own nail salon and she quickly spurted back at me, 'oh u dont want to do that...most salons are owned by oriental and it wouldnt work for an american' i was like, why, because we are cleaner and more into the quality over the speed??

  • @JennelleBelle true that! i get my nails done at spas because the women are always locals and you can understand them haha. also, they take their time, and they have sanitation certificates

  • @melaniestevens you are 1 fat dumb bitch.Their job is so bad than why you keep coming back? stop going to them and stop bitching bitch.

  • @YOMama4real1 you don't have to be so mean.... she was just stating HER OWN opinion...gosh. Youtube is filled with rude people like YOU nowadays, huh? I mean she never said anything mean to YOU, did she? NO. so you quit being the turd.

  • @melaniestevens I unfortunately have to agree here, I actually worked for a Vietnamese woman in her nail salon last summer, she had no licenses up and when I asked her about it she changed the subject. She was also using drills, but she did have a certificate for them. And she was using the chemical that is not supposed to be used (can't remember the name now). She did not once, whilst I worked there, sanitise any equipment. She was also paying me cash in hand...!!

  • @melaniestevens i totally agree !

  • @melaniestevens lol the lady in pink is a disgrace, she dose not even deserve to be called a nail tech, but since you do not know shit about nails you think she's decent lol

  • I just wanted to say that these ladies hands look so pretty. They have nice skin.

  • this vid doesnt show the work that goes into doing acrylics. i do my own and it is a lot of work. it definatly cant be done in just 7 minutes. this is in super fastforward. it takes at least 45 mins to do them

  • FINALLY a video that shows everything not just lil clips! THANKS! =)

  • ok where is this lady at i want her to do mine....

  • lol ditto :)

  • so..do the ppl who do these nails do their own nails?

  • i love getting my nails done :)

  • me 2, its a must do ritual daily i get my real nails done, i dont mess with acrylic

  • me 2 lol.

but i would lyk to try acrylic nails one day. lol.

  • damn this dont take long at all lol

go to a viet salon, thats where you'll get it done quick and easy and looks wayyy better hhaa

  • Thanks for this video. I've watched the professionals do this near by my house and I wanted to do the set on my own this time around, but there were some steps in which I forgot. Again thanks.

  • HELP PLEASE i want to get acrylics but i dont want to file my nails down. do they have to be filed down?

  • Not really. They do that so that it has the same curve or line as the applying part of the acrylic nails. I never had my nails file down do to having the same curve/line as the applying part of the nails. It's to make sure there aren't any bubbles or air trapped inside which fungus or mold could grow in. :)

  • i have a question. how long doe sthe natural nail have to be in order to put the acrylic nail on? ive got teeny nails.

  • doesnt matter the length. my daughter bites hers so I had to sculpt her nail tips so she wouldn't break them.

  • They can make a form on your nail and what they do is they put a forming foil under as much real nail as possible then create a fake nail with the acrylic then you'll get out of the habbit of biting and have long pretty nails!

  • umm, yeah I know how it works. I've been doing nails for the past 13 yrs.

  • no, because I bite my nails down really far(which is something I'm working really hard to stop doing)!

  • where can you even buy this stuff???????

i live in NEW ZEALAND!!! i dont even know if we have any of this stuff!!!

so yeah, can some one give me a shout out and holla bak at me please!!!

    thnxsz!!!

  • New Zealand.... Wow I stay in Arizona... Can you imagine how far that is...??

  • amazing!♥

  • where do u buy the materials like the arcylic and the liquids. i would love to do this as my personal use and my husband will like to be scratch on the back. thankx

  • just about any beauty supply store actually. they come with instructions.

  • i need help. i have done about 5 full sets and have the same problem everytime. i just recently bought a nice drill as well. i am just doing this for a hobby. i have been getting my nails done for 10 years so i thought i would be okay at it.....the nails come out great the only problem is after i file them i cant buff out the whole look of the file on the nail . please someone help me. message me. thanks so much.

  • Hi, i'm a nail tech maybe i could help you. What do you mean "can't buff out the whole look" sry but i could nt understand. Do you mean that after filing there will be like lines on and inside the acrylic? If yes, it's because you are pressing hard the point of the brush while applying acrylic.

  • It happened to me,I went to sally's and the girl told me to use a buffer ultra fine to smooth the surface or even quicker apply a uv top coat n dry under uv lamp.

  • hello I like your work congratulations

  • I HAVE SOME ON RIGHT NOW YAY

  • BEAUTIFUL!!

  • excellent method, prep + time + shape. of course it takes longer (roselloarturo) but this is a video used to speed up the process....duh.,.,.,.. this Nail Technician is amazing. 20/20

  • U dont have to use the drill to rough nail bed...u can easy use a course file as that lady is doing, if u r an experienced nail tech u shuld know that!!! xxx

  • Nail technics by mine definatly need to watch this lady! I'd love someone like her to do it and not someone who can't be bothered and make a silly job of it :(

  • I noticed NO drill, especially to rough up the nail bed. She did remove the cuticle thought. Interesting. I wonder how long these will stay on. It just seems like she did not rough them up enough.

  • Drills arent as commonly used in europe. I would run out if a nail tech tried to drill my nails.

  • the drills are honestly not that bad. they only use it in order to buff the nails and i personally dont find them that painful lol

  • about 2 weeks

  • you don't need to rough them up. Just eliminate the shine is enough. The secret is to keep the nail plate as clean as possible. This nails canlast up to one month if you do it correctly.

  • if you are trained, then you would know that you NEVER use a e-file (drill) to "rough up " the natural nail- you use a 240 grit or higher file just to remove the shine- that is if you are using a good quality product like CND- alot of the time, you will see the "chop shops" using the e-file to rough up the nail and thats because alot of the time they are using crappy product that contains MMA. which you have to aggressivly rough up the natural nail to make the product adhere to the nail- thanx

  • I have no idea why you responded to me with this, but I DO happen to use a drill to rough up the nail. I also use primer which further etches it lol. Good lord.

  • I was not intending to come off rude, but the term " roughing up" the nail sounds just just that way-ROUGH!!! as a nail tech i am sure that you have seen, just as i have, many people come in with damaged nail beds from poorly trained (if you even want to consider them trained) techs who have used the "drill" to prepare the natural nails for enhancements- while this may save time, an e-file in untrained hands can cause alot of damage- i was taught to NEVER use my electric file on the natural nail

  • and i am certified per my states requirement- also, just wondering what does primer have to do with an electric file? I use primer also but i was just wondering why you brought that up- anyway, like i said, i wasnt trying to be rude, i just wanted to get my point across- thanks.....

  • wow the lady doing the nails has really nice hands

  • Aren`t you supposed to cut the artificial nail then file and such..

  • yeah that's what you're usually suppose to do..

  • also it is best to coat your cuticuls with vaseline for it will dry them out ,,notice a very kool feeling when putting your finger tips in the acetone almost too cold ,,,dip in a out to give your fingers a break ,,,i found a large bottle of acetone for removal of acrylic tips at Walmart for about 3-4 bucks ,,

  • Love your work, looks like we had the same training!

kayzchapman, shes applying acrylic to them, not doing a manicure, therefore its ok to file like she was.

I dont trust anyone to do my nails except me, but you i would love you to my nails anytime!

  • for a start she doesn't even know how to file nails properly it's side to centre not sawing em your going to damage their nail durh!

  • No, she is doing it right. You are talking about natural nails. She's doing acrylics. Besides, they just tell you that sort of stuff primarily for the exam. And it's really not sawing if you are controlling the amoutnt of preasure you use when you are filing.

  • 5 starss

  • i have a good printer for artifical nails. u can go to my space to watch them.

  • Really helpful,what an artist!GOod work!

  • hi umm that liquid you use befor buting it in that powder stuff what is it is that water??plz let me know because i want to do acrylics to my nails on my own!

  • That's the primer that they put on so the powder for nails will stay

  • No it is acrylic liquid. You dip the brush into the acrylic liquid then roll the brush into the acrylic powder. :-) Hope that helps you??

  • What is tune behind this!!! Someone give me name please, it's a nice on!!:)

  • what did they do to the cuticules(?) in the begining? it looked really really painful...mine are all cracked and torn and all that would kill my fingers.

  • Kewl.

  • Last time I had gel nails put on, my real nail lifted up and I had to remove the gel nails, and cut my nails abnormally short until they finally grew out beyond the lift points - months. What caused this?

  • .. wrong preparation of the natural nail before appliying gel, or wrong removing gel with too much filing.

If a real professional nail tech do a nail gel service, the right way it must be done, there can't be any problem.

Excuse my bad english..I am an italian nail tech..sorry.

  • Ops, I forget..in acrylic is the same thing, a good product never turn yellow, and never feel or look less natural than gel nails.

I use Creative, Opi, LCN and Magnetic products, never cheapest bad product for my customer...

  • Gel nails are better than arylics. 1. Because they stay on longer 2. Because they dont turn yellow, 3. They feel wayyy more natural :)

  • and if you are**

  • i just got mine done yesterday. :]

    and you're considering getting them,

    you should.

  • i want arrylics on for my holiday this week, and i'm having doubts.

    do they ruin your nails?

and how do you take them off if you dont have any of that alcotone thing?

    HELP PLEASE.

  • They only ruin your nails if you bite them off! And acetone or another product remover is basically your only option for a safe and healthy removal. sorry. but yea get them they're great!

  • I'm guessing you mean acetone not "alcotone"?

If you can't find pure acetone, then look at the ingredients of nail varnish remover, most brands contain acetone which will remove acrylic nails, it will just take a while longer as it isn't as concentrated.

Just pour some into a bowl and soak your nails, the acetone in the nail varnish remover will desolve the acrylic, but be patient it can take some time!
