@biguceduce i always use posterboard, but you need to make sure to do the painting on the shiny side; it's easier to manipulate and doesn't soak through. granted, i'm not a pro though.

You all should try it. It's really fun and it's not hard to make a planet so go try! Paints 96 cents at walmart. Paper has a glossy side get a mask. Also you will need magazine not newspaper. Good vid though

i did one on a blank sticker and when i tried to dry it with the fire the paint bubbled up wat did i do wrong?

its simple in a way, and hard in other ways, its a trial and error thing when you are learning, you try a few times, to get a feel for the "flow" of how different things affect your painting ( using the paper, knives, stencils), how to spray a certain way, how to limit the area the paint hits and so forth. but whats mostly needed is an eye for what goes well together, such as colors, shapes, highlighting.

wow ssttoonneeyyyy, i think tsuguayme wasn't being tht mean. Anyway, usually (correct me if I'm wrong), they use white poster board (available at LOTS of places, including dollar stores). Most people recommend getting glossy ones and doing the art on that, but if you REALLY can't find glossy, I've used regular and it came out alright.
