Your wife is that teller...That guy grabs the robber from behind and startles him...he pulls the trigger accidentally and kills the teller...Now your wife is dead. Is the other guy still a coward now? You would've given anything for that "hero" to have just been a "fucking coward" and stood there like he should have. Then your wife would still be alive.

@telright If the wife (teller) dies, the only blame is on the robber that used a lethal weapon to obtain undeserved gain. The strawman issue of hero versus coward cannot apply in an unrealized secondary outcome. The unknown potential for the robber to wantonly kill the wife without any attempted intervention is equally strong. The bystander must act in any way possible to prevent this immediate threat. Inaction allows sheep to arrive at their own slaughter.

Looks like his friend he was standing with did not want to get in on the action. Only about 4% of bank robberies involve any violence, most robbers get in, get what they want and are out in less than a minute. This customer did what he thought was a good thing but it dramatically increased the chance of people getting hurt inside that bank.

We just had a robbery here in Minneapolis where a thug was beating a woman over the head with a pistol in a parking lot during a robbery, a good citizen stepped in and put a bullet in the robber. If you are stopping someone from being hurt or killed I would say that you should do it but in a situation like the one in this video most bank employees, police and the FBI would advise you to just let the guy do his thing and get out of the bank
