Doing the same oh same oh is NOT going to change ANYTHING and it is INSAIN! The SANE thing is to do something DIFFERENT! Dr. RON PAUl has the ONLY cure!
Ron paul doesn't believe in evolution, yet his worldview is a social darwinian, anarchy, "only the strong survivor" philosophy.
oh the irony.
easy for ron paul to say "elimate" every department, medicare medicaid, social security, when he gets payed hundreds of thousands of dollars thanks to our tax dollars.
ron paul needs to hop of ayn rands dick, and face reality. he'd never get elected in america, d end.
All four of these twits brains, wouldn't fill 1/10 of Dr. Paul's cranium. He talks so far above them, that they can't possible understand. They want to suck the tit forever, He wants to remove the tit at the roots. Ron Paul 2012, may God make it so !!!!
This guy is awesome. I dont agree with some of his far libertarians views but he definitely gets more checks on my checklist than Obama. No war... check .... No corporatism...check.... No fed..... check..... Ron Paul for president!
Here is how i see it. He is CLEARLY the only guy who has no interest in pandering to special interests and means every word he says, he is almost TOO honest sometimes. He has been preaching this message for years, while Obama from nowhere and just tells eloquent lies from a teleprompter (i regret voting for him)
Before the US can truly progress we NEED someone who'll demolish the establishment and put and end to "politics as usual". AND END THE CORRUPT, EXPENSIVE WARS - including war on drugs
the day this guy becomes US president you can call me PINOKIO. He might be good to run and entertain kindergarden kids - they might even believe him ! Waste of time watching this bit.
Never mind the fact that Dr Paul never denied medical care to a woman while practicing Obstetrics and gynecology, Whoopster.....like u didn't know this fact.

@Sivels If the system was fixed, then it would be cheap and it would take nearly nothing to help the needy. People love to give, especially when it goes straight to the recipient and not middle manned to the point they get a few percent of what was donated. The system is the problem.
@Sivels Very true. Tennessee did not get the slogan the volunteer state for no reason. 76% of fire departments in America are volunteer. Many aids in schools, community watch groups, food banks, red cross, etc. etc.
But this is the principals that Woopie dismisses as a times gone by that America will get back to.
You wont hear Ron Paul "attacking" the other Candidates, you'll hear him offering solutions on how to fix this mess were in because thats whats important to him, his Country! You'll hear them attacking him, trying to discredit him with their lies and misinformation!
Dr. Ron Paul founded (FREE) The Foundation for Rational Economics and Education. FREE is a non-profit, non-partisan, educational foundation dedicated to public education on the principles of free-market economics, sound money and limited government.

Wow, finally Ron Paul could actually speech without fake backgrounds, dubious camera angles and sound technicians who like to interject "boos" from other debates. Well folks, game is on. He will also end the wars because that IS up to the pres. The Domestic stuff is mostly up to congress so all the boogy man BS you hear about him will never happen even if he was like how you fear..whatever stupid fear it is.
Watching RP with these idiots is a trial. These have to be some of the most vapid and un-informed people on TV and the planet, but there they sit five days a week helping to form public opinion.
RP describing the "industrial complex in this country" - sounded to me like he just described Fascism; government and business working hand in hand, regardless of the will of the people or the law.
Interesting - Elizabeth didn't defend the money spent of Bush's wars; it'll be cheap; pay for itself.
Dr Paul demonstrated he is fully capable of delivering an important honest message, even to idiots and babblers. Hopefully the audience get's some of it.
The quality of education has gone down since the federal government formed the department of education. Leaving that up to the states and local towns is what works better.
At the end here where Whoopi says the old way is dead she fails to realize why. I can tell you, and if you have read the writings of Dr. Paul he has spoken extensively about what changed and destroyed free market medicine. The HMO Act of 1973 was the deathknell for free market medicine and affordable healthcare.
@purechaos2000 It's sad to me that Whoopi is so clueless. She thinks that old America was wonderful because we had more altruism, but actually old America was generous BECAUSE it was more of a free market system. We had more wealth and thus could voluntarily donate to institutions that would care for the poor.
@thrashertm Yes. Also, government cannot provide as well for those types of things. My grandmother had several life threatening illnesses. She was poor and she went to the charity hospital. They saved her life on many occasions. They wound up closing the charity hospital (which had been around for 40 - 50 years) due to lack of funds. She was forced to medicare and was denied surgical treatment for a hernia. The hernia ruptured and she subsequently passed away.
@bweazel Political suicide? What harm would it possibly do to him to run again? Do you think it would cause the 75% of his district that continually votes for him to suddenly start voting for the other guy?
@CounterRevolutionary He has to ask himself if he is ready to possibly give up his seat in Congress. He's already had some competition for his seat last year for the first time in I think 20 years. Trying at something and failing makes you look weak. Being in the spotlight is only good if you win.... so put yourself in his shoes. You're sitting pretty on 75%, or you can lose again (because he will, the media won't support him) and get a 50/50 or less. It's all about risk and reward, man.
@EdMan2012 I doubt Ron Paul agrees with you that his entire political career is expendable to "spread the message". All he did in '08 was "spread the message". And what did it get him? Competition in his district that he hasn't had to face in decades. You all need to stop being so naive. Running twice in a row could hurt him politically. So ask yourself. Would you rather have him as a voice in the Congress? Or would you rather him run the risk of him losing his seat, to lose again? Hmm?
He won't lose his seat. He'll be even more popular. God you're pessimistic, and don't say you're being realistic because you're not. Naivete has nothing to do with this. I'd rather have him in the Republican debates where he will reach millions of people, than have him waste his breath in Congress where the status quo rules. Sorry, I don't agree with you. I try to have a positive outlook on his running for President. He's not getting any younger either, this will be his last shot.
@EdMan2012 You don't know that. Hahaha. Listen, it's not hard to look and see he was challenged by six people last year. Since he's run for president, he's been attracting republican challengers. Also, Houston has been historically democratic, and if you go back and look at Paul's early wins, he barely won. Again, no one cares what you'd rather have, people care about what Paul wants. If he's willing to put his future on the line, that's his choice.
@bweazel What competition? There have been lots of attempts to beat Dr. Paul. He was beaten in 74, 78 and 88, but not since then. You are wrong about recent election history. Here:
2010 Pruett 24%, 2008 Peden 29%, 2006 Sklar 39%, 2002 Windham 31%, 2000 Sneary 40%, 1998 Sneary 44%, 1996 Morris 47%. The numbers do not support your contention at all. In fact, it would appear that Ron's increasing national profile is helping him out quite a bit.
@larethdf Until he ran for president, he had not been challenged by his own party, since he won the 14th district. Within the last two elections, four from his own party have tried to out him. Now, he has competition, not only from democrats, but from republicans as well.
@machaeroguy It does have substance, for the first time in his term, Dr. Paul was challenged in his district by six people. All accusing him of losing touch with his constituents. These are the kind of attacks you open yourself up to if you put yourself in the national light too much. He got away with 80% of the primary vote, but a clever political campaign and the right amount of money could shift those number very quickly against Paul. I wouldn't blame the good doctor if he chose not to run
@bweazel Yeah man.. He did a bunch of interviews today talking about it. Tomorrow he announces the launch of the exploratory committee so he can start fundraising. :) I was blown away today hearing "conservative" talk show hosts dump Trump in favor of Paul. I was like , WTF!? The same "conservatives" who shit talked in 2008 are now praising the man like he is the second coming. LOL
YOU! "Political suicide." What's your bases for this terrible assumption? Are you a political strategist? He has something that the other candidates DON'T have this time around.....CREDIBILITY! He can tell these neo-con hacks "I told you so!" His was the original Tea Party, against deficit spending. No, he is much more popular now than ever before, he SHOULD run, and he will.
@EdMan2012 Yes. Political suicide. Terrible assumption? You mean a prediction? I just told you. The only time being in the spot light is good, especially the national one, is if you win. If you come home a loser, you leave yourself open to attacks. All it would take is some youthful candidate that runs a good campaign and that could be enough to knock Paul off his seat. It doesn't matter how popular he is with the country, he has to worry about his constituents.
@bweazel His announcement for the exporatory committee is today. He's in the first debate May 5th. You might want to rethink that assessment. The big difference this time is that he's no longer an unknown as he was then.
@larethdf Nope. I'm just fine with my assessment. You all go ahead and keep denying it. If he continues to run, and lose, he opens himself up to attacks at home. That much is true, and is politically dangerous.
The Globalists & their corporate central banker minions have destroyed what America once was, free, fair mkt, sound gold backed dollar. Health Care, & Govt funded birth control & abortion....these are not rights, THESE ARE (today murderous) PRIVILEGES! Once upon a time B4 the fascist CORPORATEOCRACY stole our Republic from us, ALL NEEDS WERE CARED FOR! Corp. charters required public interests be served w/evaluation of the corp's contribution to the public interest.THIS IS NOT THE CASE TODAY!
@danmannz When has he ever said Israel doesn't have the right to exist?? He says they don't have a right to our tax dollars and neither does any other country. We fund Israel's enemies just as much if not more. We give money and arms to countries that end up killing our own soldiers. Israel and US would be better off if we took care of our home first.
Charity starts in the home and America needs all that we have right now! We can't support a WELFARE WORLD so Israel and the rest of them can learn to survive on their own! We need to get our own house in order before we start worrying about the rest of the world! No more policing or supporting the World, get that thought through your head!
@PsychStudent85 Get it through my head? I beleived in everything you just said. All I'm saying that we should defend Israel's right to exist. NOTHING else
@danmannz Do you realize how ridiculous that statement is? That is like saying you don't have a right to live. Who decides this crap? What you are doing is taking the human level of the individual and throwing it into a nation state, and this is border line fascism.
"Fascists believe that a nation requires strong leadership, singular collective identity, and the will and ability to commit violence and wage war in order to keep the nation strong." I repeat singular collective identity.
@danmannz Ron Paul supports Israel's right to exist! Just not with large sums of American tax subsidies and special military privileges. If they want to exist let them stand on their own two feet.
@purplefetus3 That's because she supports the war effort and Ron Paul is very much againist the war. He wants the war to be ended and the troops to come home immediately.
@transitionalphase I figured she would use Ron Paul as an opportunity to highlight some her socially conservative views: breaking the monopoly in teaching; home schooling; right to privacy...
Ron Paul AND his Son are Anti-Semites in the extreme!
So impossible to support him in ANY Way!
Yes, articulate and intelligent - but WHY the stance on the only TRUE Democracy left on this Planet.
As far as suffering these imbecilic cretins on "The View" - he needs his head read. NO thinking person watches these mindless morons..... And just MAYBE that is THE Problem in the USA!
@UriahHeep100 Ron Paul is not anti-semitic, he's anti-foreign aid (not just to Israel, but anywhere else). There's a HUGE difference. Why in the world would Ron Paul have pictures all over his office of Ludwig von Mises, Murray Rothbard, and Frederiech Hayek (the biggest influences on his economic philosophy) if he was an anti-Semite? This is a preposterous myth and I'm so tired of seeing it regurgitated everywhere.
Why bother saying that? Is saying that you're a jew supposed to make the comment more meaningful or important?
You people are nothing short of attention whores. Do any other people post in a comment section and announce, 'HEY EVERYBODY...I'm a Buddhist", or "HEY EVERYBODY..I'm a Catholic"
No. Nobody but jews do that dumb shit.
Get this through your yarmulke: You people aren't special. You never were, and you never will be.
@FatalBitchslap I thought it was obvious why I included that piece of information; it wasn't for want of attention, but to demonstrate that not all Jews unthinkingly support everything the state of Israel does. With neocons like Mark Levin pretending to be the sole arbiters of Jewish thought, I sometimes have to remind people that these folks have an Imperialist agenda that has little to do with the faith itself; they just use it to shield themselves from criticism.
@RationalDischarge almost all of heroes of these women (marx, stalin, lenin, trotski, che) were antisemites, so it's quite stupid (or it's premeditated) to accuse somebody else of anti-semitism...
@UriahHeep100 Joy Baher is Jewish and she seems to be a fan so take your hate filled propaganda and go seek some professional help. Anti-Semites, are you kidding me? You say that because no more welfare for Isreal or any other Country til we get our own house in order! Your ignorant comment was flagged for a reason so get through your little mind you mental midget!
I have never made a Political donation ever but I will for sure on May 5th! Ron Paul is our last hope for a sound economy and our Freedoms returned to us! This Country is so upside down at this point it is really discouraging but we can change this!
I think what is stopping alot of conservatives for voting for ron is his views on israel (Hes right on everything else!). He wouldn't have to do much to change this. He wouldn't have to give up on his principles or anything like that. all he would have to do is come out and say that he supports israel's right to exist as a country.
He wouldn't have to send in grand troops for israel or send them money (isreal dosn't even want this).
He would have been a great president! oh well.. its too bad!
@danmannz IF Israel DOES NOT WANT OUR MONEY....THEN WHY HAVE THEY BEEN TAKING BILLIONS UPON TRILLIONS FOR DECADES? AND ANTI-SEMITE? HA! THESE JEWS ARE ZIONISTS & NOT EVEN SEMITES! NOT ISRAELITES OF THE BIBLE! MURDEROUS FOR EONS ZIONIST SYNAGOGUE OF SATAN! YOUVE BEEN DUPED! The region LIVED IN PEACE UNTIL THESE CORPORATE BASTARDS CAUSED WORLD WAR & FUNDED HITLER TOOK ISRAEL FROM THE PEOPLE & GAVE IT TO THE WORLDWIDE WAR CONTROL PILLAGE PLUNDER & PROFIT ZIONISTS! KNOW HISTORICAL FACT! BUB!
BIRTHER, BIRTHER OBSESSION?! Excuse me, but if Obama was a true American (whether he was born here or not) he would have made his birth certificate and background known very well to the nay sayers, putting the nay sayers to shame. Unfortunately he hasn't done so and has lost credibility pertaining to that.
@b07rivera He'd probably choose to announce it on Jude Napolitano's show like he did when he was put in charge of the committee overseeing the FED. He wouldn't give the honor to any of the other media vultures.
@osysbites You are very late to the party. Ron Paul talked about this specifically in his 1988 Presidential bid as a Libertarian, and has never stopped.
@machaeroguy I never heard this from him before, in fact I have heard him saying he is reluctant to get into 'conspiracies'. If he has suspected this since 1988 - how the hell can he stay in the system like he has a chance in hell of creating any real change ?
This was really hard to watch. Ron Paul is terrible conveying his ideas in a complete way because he gets too excited. Sometimes when he speaks he doesn't completely finish his point and starts talking on some other subject. I love Ron Paul, but he really needs to hone his speaking and TV interview skills.
He will get going, he does get excited but his arena is a debate on philosophy and political prudence not quick "View" answers to complex concepts of over 100 years of fascism/ socialism with sound bites.
Its actually up to you and I to inform the public and speak for him I have since 2007 and there is now a buzz about him. anyone who isnt aware of him or know him through mainstream media as a cook should be debated and informed on empirical data not sound bites.
Only major issue they questioned him on is the war but atleast he could bring out the hypocrisy of Obama the conservatives and the progressives in the congress.
@americaisbacktrump Paul followers don't like Trump. What idiot would think after having Obama we should vote for someone directly from wallstreet. Trump said he would be the strongest pro war republican. That is the exact opposite of Ron Paul. Trump does not believe in sound money. The two are diametrically opposed.
I truly love Ron Paul... however, I have always said that the biggest obstacle for him winning the presidential nomination is his inability to communicate. Yes, he does great reading written speeches on the floor of the Congress - and in his books - but let's face it his public speaking skills are lacking. He stumbled through that entire interview trying to get his words and ideas out. And it was such a simple audience in Whoopi and company. At least this is where Rand excels.
"let's face it his public speaking skills are lacking"
id rather have an inept public speaker with a solid philosophy, than a slick talking globalist like Obama. his speaking "skills" may actually help Ron this time.
Money Bomb, y'all!! Going on now!! I just donated the little I could...you should too! Ron is the only rebublican that can actually take liberal votes from obama. Because he is antiwar and pro civil liberties.

@rgiblin6 most liberals are not good on civil liberties, I know plenty of conservatives that make liberals look like totalitarians.

@rgiblin6 nope, Ron Paul is against the welfare state,so he won't get the support of the lazy liberals..:D
hayden50 10 months ago
@rgiblin6 Yes, but what about other issues "liberals" care about:
Climate Change
Medicare
He's out to lunch entirely on those. So I think he would take more from a Republican, like Romney.

@rgiblin6 Winning the primaries will be the difficult part lol. But I'll admit that his chances are much higher this time.

At the end here where Whoopi says the old way is dead she fails to realize why. I can tell you, and if you have read the writings of Dr. Paul he has spoken extensively about what changed and destroyed free market medicine. The HMO Act of 1973 was the deathknell for free market medicine and affordable healthcare.
purechaos2000 10 months ago 3
@purechaos2000 It's sad to me that Whoopi is so clueless. She thinks that old America was wonderful because we had more altruism, but actually old America was generous BECAUSE it was more of a free market system. We had more wealth and thus could voluntarily donate to institutions that would care for the poor.
thrashertm 10 months ago
@thrashertm Yes. Also, government cannot provide as well for those types of things. My grandmother had several life threatening illnesses. She was poor and she went to the charity hospital. They saved her life on many occasions. They wound up closing the charity hospital (which had been around for 40 - 50 years) due to lack of funds. She was forced to medicare and was denied surgical treatment for a hernia. The hernia ruptured and she subsequently passed away.

He is not running, people. Get over it. They burnt him too bad the first two times. To do it again would be political suicide.
bweazel 10 months ago
@bweazel Political suicide? What harm would it possibly do to him to run again? Do you think it would cause the 75% of his district that continually votes for him to suddenly start voting for the other guy?
CounterRevolutionary 10 months ago 7
@CounterRevolutionary He has to ask himself if he is ready to possibly give up his seat in Congress. He's already had some competition for his seat last year for the first time in I think 20 years. Trying at something and failing makes you look weak. Being in the spotlight is only good if you win.... so put yourself in his shoes. You're sitting pretty on 75%, or you can lose again (because he will, the media won't support him) and get a 50/50 or less. It's all about risk and reward, man.
bweazel 10 months ago
@bweazel
Winning the election would be amazing, but just getting him in the Republican debates to spread the message is worth it all.
EdMan2012 10 months ago 20
@EdMan2012 I doubt Ron Paul agrees with you that his entire political career is expendable to "spread the message". All he did in '08 was "spread the message". And what did it get him? Competition in his district that he hasn't had to face in decades. You all need to stop being so naive. Running twice in a row could hurt him politically. So ask yourself. Would you rather have him as a voice in the Congress? Or would you rather him run the risk of him losing his seat, to lose again? Hmm?
bweazel 10 months ago
@bweazel
EdMan2012 10 months ago
@EdMan2012 You don't know that. Hahaha. Listen, it's not hard to look and see he was challenged by six people last year. Since he's run for president, he's been attracting republican challengers. Also, Houston has been historically democratic, and if you go back and look at Paul's early wins, he barely won. Again, no one cares what you'd rather have, people care about what Paul wants. If he's willing to put his future on the line, that's his choice.
bweazel 10 months ago
@bweazel What competition? There have been lots of attempts to beat Dr. Paul. He was beaten in 74, 78 and 88, but not since then. You are wrong about recent election history. Here:
2010 Pruett 24%, 2008 Peden 29%, 2006 Sklar 39%, 2002 Windham 31%, 2000 Sneary 40%, 1998 Sneary 44%, 1996 Morris 47%. The numbers do not support your contention at all. In fact, it would appear that Ron's increasing national profile is helping him out quite a bit.
larethdf 10 months ago
@larethdf Until he ran for president, he had not been challenged by his own party, since he won the 14th district. Within the last two elections, four from his own party have tried to out him. Now, he has competition, not only from democrats, but from republicans as well.
bweazel 10 months ago
@bweazel If your logic had any substance, Ron Paul would have lost his Congressional seat in 2008, since he ran for President in 2008.
machaeroguy 10 months ago
@machaeroguy It does have substance, for the first time in his term, Dr. Paul was challenged in his district by six people. All accusing him of losing touch with his constituents. These are the kind of attacks you open yourself up to if you put yourself in the national light too much. He got away with 80% of the primary vote, but a clever political campaign and the right amount of money could shift those number very quickly against Paul. I wouldn't blame the good doctor if he chose not to run
bweazel 10 months ago
@bweazel FYI, breaking news, he is running.
machaeroguy 10 months ago
@machaeroguy Well let's see how it works out for him.
bweazel 10 months ago
@bweazel Did you miss today's news? Dr. Paul is launching his exploratory committee for a presidential run tomorrow.
purechaos2000 10 months ago
@purechaos2000 Haha, I hadn't heard.
bweazel 10 months ago
@bweazel Yeah man.. He did a bunch of interviews today talking about it. Tomorrow he announces the launch of the exploratory committee so he can start fundraising. :) I was blown away today hearing "conservative" talk show hosts dump Trump in favor of Paul. I was like , WTF!? The same "conservatives" who shit talked in 2008 are now praising the man like he is the second coming. LOL
purechaos2000 10 months ago
@bweazel
EdMan2012 10 months ago
@EdMan2012 Yes. Political suicide. Terrible assumption? You mean a prediction? I just told you. The only time being in the spot light is good, especially the national one, is if you win. If you come home a loser, you leave yourself open to attacks. All it would take is some youthful candidate that runs a good campaign and that could be enough to knock Paul off his seat. It doesn't matter how popular he is with the country, he has to worry about his constituents.
bweazel 10 months ago
@bweazel His announcement for the exporatory committee is today. He's in the first debate May 5th. You might want to rethink that assessment. The big difference this time is that he's no longer an unknown as he was then.
larethdf 10 months ago
@larethdf Nope. I'm just fine with my assessment. You all go ahead and keep denying it. If he continues to run, and lose, he opens himself up to attacks at home. That much is true, and is politically dangerous.

@UriahHeep100 Ron Paul is not anti-semitic, he's anti-foreign aid (not just to Israel, but anywhere else). There's a HUGE difference. This is a preposterous myth and I'm so tired of seeing it regurgitated everywhere.

FatalBitchslap 10 months ago
@FatalBitchslap I thought it was obvious why I included that piece of information; it wasn't for want of attention, but to demonstrate that not all Jews unthinkingly support everything the state of Israel does. With neocons like Mark Levin pretending to be the sole arbiters of Jewish thought, I sometimes have to remind people that these folks have an Imperialist agenda that has little to do with the faith itself; they just use it to shield themselves from criticism.
