@POLOREYEZD i dont see holding one time in this vid and they arent in full pads bc its a simple demonstration not a full practice or game if u can tell me where u see the holding then ill give u credit but i dont see holding at all
@Tutorials4Dummiess in a lot of states/counties you can be called for putting your arms out onto the guy. i know it is a clean block but it is very easy to be called on it depending on who your refs are. I got 3 holding calls in a row doing that once
@Tutorials4Dummiess around 0:40 could potentially be a hold. I play in a conference where refs will flag you on holding often. Please dont call me a liar. I spend +3.5 hours a day at practice and holding is an issue we go over daily. Shooting the hands on a run block also sets up tenancies for holding. Im not trolling, just giving you the truth.
I think the center is a bit too high when he block . If he took the first contact lower , he will have much more power and speed in his legs to drive the defensive Lineman .
no way you bench 300. That's about the weight a bodybuilder benches. I'm 5 '10 and pretty muscular and i only bench 135. My other friend is also 6 ft. 1 and he only benches 150 and he's jacked. Btw were both gonna be freshman too so idk, you soun d like a liar or a gorilla.
@CK9041 300 is very good, buts it's not nearly at the level of a powerlifter or anything. college and professional football tests are with 225 and people doing 20+ reps is extremely common. a 300 pound single is not unreasonable at all
Obviouly I'm not the retarded one here considering I said im "pretty muscular" & also, maybe i used a wrong choice of words describing him, (which does not make me retarded btw,) but he is extremely muscular for someone our age .
the center's run blocking...you should coach putting your hands into the d-lineman's chest first, it should be facemask->hands, the hands are there for control, not power, all the power comes up from your thigh and hips into your back and neck and travels into your facemask
@JosephSeall btw this is in high school and idt it is average i may be on my way to one ep 600 squt and a 350 lbs bench going into college footall Mizzou already recruited me what do u have?
I don't know why some of us are asking people on Youtube on where to play. No one knows where you should be better than your coaches. The ones that actually SEE how you play and what fits you best. Information given here are just speculations.
@five20sven wth? Depends on the team. Most teams run mostly off the tackles so the tackles are the better run blockers..and tackles are just usually better lineman..preiod. you can take a fat kid and survive at gaurd.
@Stephthatackle well, we run it like 1 out of 3 times to the left. but i think im gonna stay to the left because we have 2 trick plays which involve me pulling and kicking out the opposite side d-tacke
that kind of reach block isnt gonna work!... he totaly opened his stance now hes standing straight up a DE is gonna fight through that and put him on his ass...
@louis76ster wow..the play is a sweep, the DE isn't going full head of steam,he can feel its a run. and the tackles job isn't really focused on the D-end..its sealing the outside..
that's why they can't run in arena football...

Whats the point of a reach ? Wouldn't you just go head up your man and drive him back not sideways

@Church6397 Reach block is for when theres no man infront of you. Like a 5-2 defense or a 3-2 defense for the gaurds.
