I'm surprised only one person has spoken about the fact that Japanese artists normally make their characters look to be European. They even make all asians to look European, just Japanese.

Just throwing animes out there, Bleach, Ghost in the Shell... anything that Funanimition has turned their horrible dubbing eyes on.

Who cares if someone who's not Asian dresses up as an anime character? Take half of the films directed by Hayao Miyazaki for example in comparison to the other of his films that do take place in Japan. Almost half of his films that do not take place in Japan never had any Asians like Castle in the Sky, Kiki's Delivery Service, and Nausicaa.

Regarding this matter I would point out that katsuhiro Otomo took inspiration from american comics when he done Akira(don't recall the source though, since it was not wikipedia) and Studio Ghibli has no problems with their movies being altered when moving to the "west"(kiki's delivery service). So much for Asian elitism...

ProudAsian has been doing this for years. There's even a couple of pictures of him online if you look hard enough. Guess what, he's not even Asian. His argument always uses "best of Japan, worst of America" cosplay. He also forgets that many cosplayed characters aren't Asian, like Hetalia or Final Fantasy. He never comments on the fact that Asians cosplay western characters too and they even sell makeup used specifically to imitate western facial features.

All these accounts with "Proud" and "Asian" in the name make the same ridiculous arguments endlessly and have the same awkward grammar. He's posted everywhere from youtube to crunchyroll, and cosplay.com to curecos.com. That's where pics of him were found.
