there are several graphics mods out now for the PC that really enhance the look. Look up some of the HD textures or HDRI texture enhancements..well i mean if your interested.
The modding toolset is a whole new level of pain. You have to know c++ scripting (but there are some tuts out there now) i expect to see a LOT of mods for this game. Plus you can edit savegames (bwahahah!)..oh sorry.
my only complaint is not enough room on the toolbar for everything at endgame but thats minor.
I'm definitely going to have to look into those. I'm getting some new parts soon, so I think I'll break them in with a few of the graphic mods.
That's a real shame about the toolset, because I'll still load up the original NWN and try some out. I don't see too many RPGs of this type being made on the PC, unless it sells a ton, and a really solid and user-friendly toolset could give this game some incredible longevity.
Yeah, my main complaint is how tight things are, for storage and toolbar.
im starting to get the hang of item creation at least, but ya gotta be careful its really easy to snafu things. Luckily, it looks like many people are jumping in and posting decent item spawn scripts and other such things, which makes it a lot easier on those of us that do not code well.
This was a great video, very few of those that explain DA:O as well as this! Oh by the way the golem or Shale is a her not a him. lol. Not sure how far you are now but if you get an archer with Arrow of Slaying it is basically a Mage Killer.
Oh man, a her? I don't recall that ever being brought up. I assumed it was a guy, which was probably golemly insensitive of me. Shale is one of my favorite characters, and one of the few times I've laughed at what a character does. At least since Minsc and Boo. In their honor, I still go for the eyes.
I actually just picked up the archer a few days back, during my last session. I couldn't decide what party to have and just kept my old formation. I'll have to get him in next time. Thanks!
I think I'm almost at that point. Excellent! I'm going to have to play a bit more tonight so I can open it up. And hopefully see her squish a few more birds in the process.
Its going to be awkward tonight whenever the Grey Wardens ask where you are and I have to tell them that youre just not into what they do. Real awkward.
Unbelievably so. The presentation is top notch, aside from the silly amounts of blood splatter, you meet some really unique (voiced) characters that keep the adventuring portions interesting. The fact that your spells retain their usefulness is probably the thing I like the most. After talking with a friend, we both agree that it actually gets better the more you play.
It's highly recommended. I haven't heard many complaints about the console version, but I can't imagine playing it without the tactical view - there's just too much going on not to. And I can pretend like I'm playing BG 3 that way as well. Wee!
I had to put a ban on me playing it. Until I finish my other obligations, I can't touch it. I've slept through alarms because I've stayed up so late playing. Its medicine is too strong.

yeah no problem, if you talk to shale enough & give enough gifts you should get a side quest just for her & it will explain a bit more about her.

Ha! You'll like the head tree: it's both scary looking and rhythmically inclined.
