  • Just to be really sure, (love this great video), you do say to count the number of stitches BETWEEN the straight pins for your gauge (horizontal, or vertical row gauge). I am assuming you did mean to *not* count either or both of the stitches that the straight pins are placed in? Can you clarify?

  • @xraymdabm Correct. You count the stitches between the pins. To clarify further - you want to put the first pin in between stitches, measure, then place the second pin. The second pin might be right through the center of a stitch, so you would count that stitch as a half. Your gauge could be, for example, 5.5 stitches per inch. Hope that helps!

  • thank you very much..you made it so clear :))

  • do you have a video of what you must have in your knitting kit. buying the tools for knitting can be confusing

  • @minnieclips Yes, I have a video called "Knitting Help - Essential Tools" that does just that. (Sorry, YouTube won't let me give you a direct link here, but you can search for it on my channel page.

Do you have a video on blocking?

  • @shellzay I have a photo tutorial on blocking on my website that should help you. I'm unable to post a good link to it here in the comments but just replace the "(dot)" with a period and you'll see it:
