  • What an uninspiring habitat this is! Poor bull.

  • I was raised in Houston, TX, and am living there now...It is a shame to see my city treating animals this way. I stopped going to the zoo a long time ago, but I didn't know this kind of cruelty is happening here right NOW. My little sister and mother go to the zoo all the time and I don't say anything, because I know it's fun for kids...But maybe mom will think twice about going to the zoo after I show her this... ?

  • yeah... if that were true, how could you explain the fact that elephants in the wild DON'T sway? it's neurotic, abnormal behavior. it happens to elephants in captivity who can't walk as much per day as they innately require. AKA zoos should not keep elephants.

  • Elephants do not sway the same way people jiggle their legs idiot, do some research before speaking on something you totally know nothing about!!

  • Yes, that's right. I was at the zoo today. Male elephants are solitary, and the zoo staff periodically sends in a female so he can relieve his natural urges.
