How does this make briere a fool? If you heard his reaction to the suspension you would know that Nielsen had been talking to Briere the whole game and had specifically gone after him multiple times. Briere ..AND carcillo were both expecting him to do the same again. It was just bad timing on Briere's part ..and yes he may be short but that gives him an advantage to his speed..you obviously have not seen him skate around people and use his skill like no one else.

im a devils fan so im a little biased here, but briere always does subtle dirty plays like that. on opening night last year, the devils cleared the zone and everyone skated up the ice except for briere. he proceeded to skate past brodeur, hook broduers stick with is arm and rip it away from him and take it all the way up the ice and drop it. during the playoffs he also would continually slash and cross check ppl and then run away when theyd go to do something to him.

It clearly infuriates opponents.  I still feel like his ego has outgrown his game. The Devils, while I am Flyers fan, have always had great line-ups.
