It was a good quiz, but it was launched at a time when there were endless Millionaire clones popping up left right and centre. The moody blue lit studio just made it appear to be yet another. And making Kilroy act a bit Anne Robinson didn't help either.

The format itself was strong, but the audience was starting to feel fatigued by the overkill of Millionaire.

This format is years before Golden Balls, however Shafted took this from somewhere else. I hated it when Jaspar said the ending to GB is the Best Ever, because it's the same just with less money than this,

Anyway this been going round for years a puzzle called the Prisoner's Dilemma. Both Prisoners could escape working together, one could escape leaving the other trapped or they could both try sperately both being caught. It's a nice idea to bring to a gameshow.
