  • is that lenoard chess on kick drum??? i heard that somewhere

  • THE ORIGINAL KING OF ROCK&ROLL!! IF YOU DON'T KNOW THE BLUES YO JUST DON'T KNOW ROCK&ROLL!!!

  • @MyMartinez93 Yes, sir! The Blues had a baby, and they named rock and roll.

  • @MrMuddymilton Finally somebody else that knows what there talking about and if it wasnt for Muddy Waters and Chess records The Blues would have missed out on the great Etta James,Howlin Wolf,Little Walter,Willie Dixon,Chuck Berry, and the list goes on and on. (Muddy Waters is the true King of Rock N Roll)

  • @MyMartinez93 ¨Sorry, Blues and Rock and Roll is not the same.

Both are just as good though, so whatever.

  • @TheDJGrandPa I guess you really don't know music cause if you would to ask any blues or true rock n roll player and ask them where rock originated from they will all tell you it comes from the blues. P. S. (know what you're talking about before you post!!)

  • @MyMartinez93 I know a LOT about Rock and Roll and Blues, trust me, but they still aren't the same thing, Muddy Waters isn't the king of rock and roll simply because he did not play rock(I would partially agree on a king of blues stance though.)

  • @TheDJGrandpa from Jimi Hendrix ,Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Black Sabath,Aerosmith, and Metalica just to name a few have all given acknowledgement and credit to Muddy Waters. That if it wasn,t for him there would be no Rock N Roll!! (Besides that Rock N Roll is nothing but the Blues Love child and with Muddy Waters being the King of Blues what does that make him to Rock N Roll? I'll tell you what it makes him The One True King!!!!!)

  • @MyMartinez93 Also, Robert Johnson would be King of All Modern Music, so that killed that idea, Robert Johnson is king of all. Muddy Waters is just a slave under Robert and his mighty guitar, bow down for the REAL King :)

  • Muddy Waters!

  • Entourage !

  • this was on Entourage last night, hadn't hear it in a while - still sounds great.

    Cheers.

  • Entourage!

  • This is super fine blues.

  • I read about Leonard Chess playing drums on this track (she moves me) in a book titled the CHESS STORY. I play drums myself. This has to be the most basic drumming I've ever heard. It has got to be a Leonard. FRED GALLANT

  • @fredG1941 You seen the movie Chess Records, starring Adrian Brody?

  • my favorite blues of all time..thanx!!

  • Hi just reading Robert palmer's Deep Blues he has a long anecdote from Muddy Waters saying that it was Chess playing bass drum because Muddy's own drummer couldn't handle it

  • Don't believe that nonsense! Down through the years, Leonard Chess claimed that he worked the bass drum; struck two-by-four; stamped his feet, and who knows what, so that he could claim writer's credit and copy rights to the song. That is, obviously, a professional perussionist , most likely Willie Dixon, holding down that beat. If Leonard Chess had been that good on drums, he would have clearly been invited to participate musically on many other Blues recordings.

  • great tune. Is that Little Walter on harp?

  • @BlueRevival yes

  • @BlueRevival And Leonard Chess on bass drum.

  • Thanks for posting!
