Unless you've done a Zercher Squat you should probably keep your thoughts to yourselves. A gimmick...not even close. The Zercher Squat is a well recognized variation of the squat that puts a lot more emphasis on the quads and core stabilization.
@valkyrie9002 because at some point you'll need to do assistant work to progress in your dead lift.. Thats like saying you should never do rows and just do deadlift. You're gonna stall on Deadlift and you'll need to strengthen your upper back because thats most peoples problem.
Carrying dry wall all day will certainly make you strong so perhaps I should introduce the "dry wall" workout into the gyms...What's wrong with the traditional squat ? Too many gimmicks out there....Still, if a person sticks with lifting anything consistently it will probably help.
