Quite. Because you did not HELP her. She thought that the only option for her was to kill her own child. What about supporting her. Loving her. Showing her all the life-affirming options she has. I feel your pain barbaras. I had an abortion a few years ago. I am pro-choice, but I wish there were more education. I wish that abortion clinics were regulated. There should definitely be a 3-step interview process. Women are being taken advantage, at times, and pressured into this "abortion" thing. Not all, but some. If they made the decision it's different, but most women I know were pressured into their abortion. It's a complete violation of choice :(

Abortion realistically must come to the "broader" public forum including the democratic party and its base. So long as those disagreeing w/ abortion are "summed" up as just right-wing we'll not comprehend clearly the fallout of abortion.

Abortion politics are hypocritical. For ex: the black community has higher abortions rates disproportionate to population. How odd that many of the dems ignore/ cast the Prolife position as that "right" cause? Yet claim to have the best interest to minorities??

I appreciate your desire for objectivity, but I'm not convinced one can be entirely rational and scientific when discussing abortion and the the long term consequences of over 50 million fetal deaths. Nor am I convinced that these "feti" do not feel pain. I believe that has been debated and there is some evidence to the contrary. And yes, I am quite aware, thanks anyways, that adoption does occur AFTER birth. It can be a beautiful experience both for the biologic mom & adoptive parents.

the potential for life does not override existing life. those feti that were aborted are no more upset about it than their mothers are. they never experienced any level of conscioussness to begin with. why should they get to decide their fate in utero? why should they get to make women birth them? why would anyone want to force themselves on a woman like that? how is it the govt's job to demand that i give birth against my will?

feti is the scientific term for a gestating homo sapien. your use of the term unborn child is word play on emotions. i am simply trying to debate this objectively. there is nothing said about this term. it is medically accurate. uhm no pain does not even register until at least late pregnancy. you just contradicted yourself. if they are not conscious they CANNOT feel pain. uhm adoption only works AFTER birth has occured. if she wants to avoid forced childbirth, that wont work.
