  • Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads...

  • According to Shawyer, the key to the anti-gravity functionality of the EmDrive involves a resonate cavity filled with microwaves.

  • cool........

it's can fly in the air

    i like it

  • this isnt "free energy" or anything, the magnetron that powers it uses more than a kilowatt of electrical energy just for this tiny amount of thrust.

  • It's 2010 and I have heard nothing about it more recent than this video. I once tried to find a way to beat the conservation of momentum law (which this does try to do, no matter what anyone thinks). Biggest waste of time EVER. What you could do is use thrust generated by shining a laser behind you in the same fashion as a rocket (or a solar sail).

  • Forgive me, but.. is this - or any of the countless drives Dutchdrummer mentions that have been tested since the 1960s - really use any NEW technology?

Use any deep particle or string physics that has heretofore been un-utilized before? Aren't they all just propulsion of something (gas, plasma, ions) or magnetic levitation? ergo - none is really "anti-gravity", right?

  • does no one bother researching anything.

    ok...

    1. this is done by an actual scientist.

    2. its not anti gravity or anything magical like that. it uses an actual technology that creates thrust.

    3. this is just a barely functional proof of concept test.

  • supposedly "the chinese" duplicated it.

  • dont worry it will soon fall apart ^^

  • I just want this guy to hand his machine to someone who is willing to diligently test it, to get a final verdict on whether this works or not.

  • So you are saying the force is real ?

  • But don`t get me wrong...it`s still nice that people keep trying...

  • what a joke...static drives have been tested countless times especially in the 50s and 60s...they don`t work even do they can move forward (because they use the surrounding structure meaning they always fail in vacuum)...they have the same problem as the legendary oscillation thrusters...People should all come together and work on far more efficient rocket engines for longer service lives (incl ion trusters) of satellites and smaller rockets that can carry far larger payloads.

  • these electromagnetic drives are the same nonsense...they travel only on a stable floor but the moment they have no more gravity (space/vacuum) they always fail so there not even usefull for moving sattelites. ESA and NASA and many others have tested so many concepts like this over the decades and the best they build is the ion propulsion system which is ofcourse not a reactionless drive.
