@Byteman3D most likely that the at-home users use either ati radeon or nvidia's gtx. both companies have workstation cards. they provide much higher calculations but are horrible gaming cards, gtx is good at games but decent to subpar on professional work. workstation cards = 500-600 to last years version. 2k-3k this years. so yes it kinda is. they probably are optimizing it as well as well as having a great rig.
Please, can you explain the viewports setting for such a good quality and fast responsiveness? Which material shoud be set as viewport interactive? Which viewport advanced rendering option must be set? I tried b2m on a 3ds max 2012 SP2 i7 920 12 GB and GTX460 2GB there's a delay of 4 to 5 seconds before viewports updates.... Are you using Nitrous? I tried but there's no way to obtain your quality and fine tuning it's impossible due to the lag. Very often the program crashes.Still in dvelpment?
For some strange reason i'm missing out on the mental ray tab in teh material section and besides that when i place a substance node , i don't get an input for my bitmap. Any idea whats wrong or what i do wrong? thx !
So, should i wait for it to be available in Unity before purchasing Bitmap 2 Material? basically, will this package, straight out of the download, work with unity when it's ready for it or are there adjustments to the product that will need to be made before it's compatable with Unity?
Can you help me? Im trying to get into game making(check my channel) but i don't know how to start, i want to make a 3rd person RPG game, so can you help me? Is Unity 3D suitable for me? If it is, please provide me with some tutorials or whatever other help you could. Thank you. :)
It's a separated product from 3dsmax, that can be used in all the products where Substance is present: 3dsmax, Maya and Flame 2012, and soon Unity. And of course in Substance Player which is free :)
I think I love you :D!

Really, what is the reason of this dazzling responsiveness? Is it a special graphics card, a special cpu or a setting?

Of course you have to pay a ridiculous amount of money for it, though it would be exceptionally good at texturing rocks.

To achieve this effect, you're going to need the Bitmap2Material plugin from Turbosquid.
