Wow, seeing that fight, I know that my budgie wouldn't last long in the wild especially since he is bright blue in colour XD Poor budgie that got beaten up T.T
I watched this whole documentary recently on tv over here in ireland, thought it was very interesting. I have a budgie myself.Birds have always interested me, especially parrots.
I'm headed to Oz tomorrow - had to explain to my budgies before I left that they don't allow "indoor" birdies in Australia... I think they understood.... Well, maybe not.
Because that's the color set that makes them the least visible when they rest in trees. I'm pretty sure its easy to pick out a blotch of blue-white chirping away in bush, then eating said blotch.
The Nature series is the shit! I've been watching it since George Page was the narrator. I wish PBS would do more stuff like this! It's so much better than a lot of the uneducational crap on Animal Planet.
I was hand training my green female and had her near my large cage, apparently my two males in there took interest in her and one jumped the other almost like the video but instantly won though lol. Nice to see it happen in nature.

I've got two now, one a bit older than the other, and they really are awesome to have. But I love seeing parrots in the wild.
