  • What about Ron Paul

  • @brandy1000sissy Obama's expenditure on war would have been of little relevance if George W. Bush hadn't decided on military action in Iraq. Also, would an American not be somewhat appreciative of Obama's administration being responsible for the apprehension of Osama Bin Laden - as a form of Justice perhaps? Obama has done much to reduce the presence of American troops as well as improve domestic institutions - the healthcare bill for one...

  • A simple genius that never got his dues!

  • I think this song may be in contention for the best song ever written in America.

  • why do some american hate obama... is it a race thing??

  • @boselectfuk Maybe because he spends so much on war.

  • enjoyed the song,........ then saw an ad for the piece of shit obama, ruined it!!

  • My grandmas favorite song and one of mine! Miss you g'ma!

  • like this song

  • i'm leaving today for winter vacations in my homeland and this song makes my day :)

  • I like Roger Miller but Dean Martin's version is better.

  • Looking at the foto of Roger now, I wouldn't have recognised him had we passed in the street, yet he was so popular back in the 60s with his many hits. He was on our juke box all the time in the Military while serving in W Germany, sad to note too he has passed on to the Great Beyond !! . . . thanks Roger Miller for the memories !!

  • At rogermiller(dot)com, there's a (relatively) hi-fidelity version of this piece, and some others. The site is run by his wife, Mary.

  • This recording is a significant piece of recorded history. Search "Roger Miller - King of the Road (The Big T.N.T Show - 1965)" on YouTube for a live concert version by the man, himself.

    R.I.P. Roger Dean Miller (January 2, 1936 – October 25, 1992).

  • @pattayalob

So you're smarter than this guy just cause he's a "kid"?

  • @pattayalob you remind me of those really old people who are mad at every young person for no reason. I think you hate being old and are just jealous of young people.

  • @mystrewolf

You're onto something--a lot of older people talk down to "kids" and think their age supplies them with endless superiority despite their ignorance.

  • Sweet song. My soul is refreshed, and the stress of this busy time in which we live is lifted, if only for a day. Yes, Roger Miller was unique and was a musical genius (just like one of his idols, Hank Williams). I was just a kid when Roger's career was in full swing. So thankful that YouTube makes it possible to revisit and appreciate these songs I heard in my early years,

  • If you like Roger Miller then you'll probably Jonny Horton! Great classic country

  • I wish i knew more music like this. Anyone have suggestions?

Also coming from a teenager, this is far better than anything on the radio now.

  • "Banger, Maine". I'm a Mainah so that makes me laugh. Never heard Bangor pronounced like that till now. Anyway, this song is certainly better than the majority of the "music" on the radio now. And that's coming from a teenager.

  • This is just...the sound of relaxed cowboys and freedom and loads of sun and happiness..just like it should be but never was and never will be^^

and still... it gives us a pause from everything bad there is!

  • das ist echt alt
