  • Well BALLS TO YOU!!!!!!!

  • I think that mostly older golfballs had the rubberband-type stuff inside.

  • Just made this for my grandpa! I used plywood, though.

  • BALLS!

  • the reason range balls are filled with "chopped up rubber bands" is because its super cheap and still gives the density while not giving much mass but its flight and roll performance is greatly decreased because of this.

  • Do you imagine that Buddhists in Switzerland have Swiss Chi? I think it would be essential to have for any sand wedge.

So I learned something today. I didn't know that golf balls had stopped being rubber band wrapped cores and had gone to a solid core.

  • This would be perfect for an golf-playing Asian. :DD

  • WOW STEVE, WHAT A GREAT PROJECT! I MADE MY WIFES UNCLE ONE OF THOSE, AND MADE HIS WIFE A BAND SAW BOX OUT OF A LOG. HUGE SUCCESSES. UNLESS OF COURSE YOU HAVE SOME KINDA COPYRIGHT, IN WHICH CASE I LIED, I DIDNT MAKE ANYTHING I SAW ON YOUR CHANNELS. LOL. THANKS FOR THE IDEA MAN, PLEASE KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK. GREG

  • from 9:46. very funny. and nice project.

  • GOLF

    gentlmen only ladies forbiden

  • Golf is a good walk spoiled~Mark Twain

  • i just made it it is cool

  • Ah ah ... awesome project! The golf club is perfect!

  • Some of the nicer new golf balls have a blue liquid in them so be careful or you will have a big mess on your hands. I found this out the hard way when I was drilling holes in them for a different project. Range balls will most likely have the solid center. The band saw is too dangerous to use to cut the golf ball because it can roll while cutting. The best thing to use is a PVC pipe cutter to just slice through it (sounds strange but it works). Great project.

  • you cud always make one with a dwarf tree. that wood look really nive

  • Nice one. Now I'm off to levitate.

  • Not to be a total buzz kill but I have seen pretty much that exact thing for sale in magazines. I still like yours though.

  • Laid back??? Did you not just make the iwood video?

  • Hey, you should buy those brad point drill bits (for wood). That center-spike helps alot when making holes in angle like you did.

  • That was cool, it made me want to make one.

  • Thank you for this video. I had to sign up for youtube just to leave a comment. I've been watching your videos for a while, and I really want to get into woodworking when i have some more capital. I guess living vicariously through you is enough for now!

  • some woodcarvers carve golf balls into faces of all fashions, santas, mountain men, tree spirits etc. mostly new golf balls have the solid center.

  • My kids would have a BALL with that I would be in the rough with the wife

  • Lucky you didn't find a liquid center golf ball. I thought of making a trap in my back yard, but the cats may find too hard to resist. :)

  • you are suprisingly good at the zen voice. if you had`nt sad wisit my web page. "iwood" have drifted innto space for sure.

  • I can't believe how many good ideas you have come up with. Your crazy intros and comments during the video are great as well. Beer has not taken out too many brain cells yet! - - TEXAS

  • Could have used the tee's for feet.

  • some older golf balls have toxic "gel packs" in the center... so be carefull selecting balls

  • Chi whiz, Steve. What a great project! You're still a nut!

  • @Larenzoid Chi-zeee comment...lol

  • Cool project. Your video's are allways fun to watch Steve. Keep em coming!

  • @ironlionkalo Nah, I was just going to make a zen garden. For some reason I thought about golf and how the sand traps always have a rake in them. Eureka!
