@TheWMfan Yeah they have a sound system set up in this one, it's the coolest transfer ever. Check out the longer, better video I just made a video response to this one--and read the description on that for more about this place.
@heil702 Usually that's not how it is, just got lucky this time. Normally they'll have junk removal people and maybe some gardeners on the same one as the trucks...many of my other vids were taken on a separate floor
yeah thats true, i work graveyard shift as a street sweeper driver and i always see ez packs and newway front loaders that do cardboard routes so im going to try to capture something in the mean time
@heil702 Oh wow didn't know that...you should also just get some footage of yourself on the job, operator POV..graveyard shift would make it more interesting in the vid too haha
i think i might just do that the next time i go to work and i got some transfer station footage yesterday. me and my friend went to unload a bunch of branches. i just have to put the video toghether
@MRGTMAN123 ESD stands for Environmental Services Department...and it basically means the city of San Diego. They never dump here because they go to the landfill or a recycle place in San Diego city limits. This was taken north of San Diego in Escondido where a totally separate company called EDCO dumps. They own EDI (Escondido Disposal Inc) and also own this transfer station. So mainly they dump here as well as citizens
Awesome job! This is in Esco? What time? I wish we had garbage trucks on the same floor as cars at the Transfer station here...I wonder if EDI would allow you to take pics at the yard... ya may find some goodies : )
@r6man2 I pretty much know what all is in the yard now, about 4 years ago when I really didn't there would have been much more interesting stuff there than now...trucks I didn't even know about.
This was in Escondido, rarely do they put people on the same floor as the trucks, only gardeners for the most part.
@r6man2 I should've worded that differently...I'd still love to go to the yard and film/photograph what's there, I just think a lot of it I know about so wouldn't be TOO many surprises...then again this is the company I learn something new about almost every month or two!
Keep your eye out for those maxon fl look-a-likes! F&F Gomez are being bought by Burrtec all over. The only noticable difference at first glance is the ribs on the body are wider. Other than that they are true reproductions from what i can see. I got the privelege to experience my first loading of manual greenwaste on a shiny new Pete 320 F&F Gomez FL! Yes I got a bit of footage. but with our help he blew through his route so fast we only got about 4 min of footage! LOL
@3amrepmike3 Yeah I know the FFG's have way thicker bracing, and there's no Maxon logo LOL but no, haven't seen any yet, EDCO really doesn't own many LegalOnes up here (at least not as many as CWS and Bridgeport), definitely even fewer than that down in San Diego.
But you got to actually help out?! That's cool! Want to hear more on that in a pm or something!
Your name has 242 in it :D
