  • True country!

  • Can it get any better than this?

  • Is this amateur hour?

  • They wrote the best country music in the 50's and 60's. VERY FEW can compare today. Always loved this song. I just recorded and posted my attempt at this great old song. Stop by my channel sometime when you have a few minutes.

  • This is one of the best singers to walk on stage at the Opry But the Opry should be ashamed For not geting this ladie a ride to the Opry house When they knew she was down on her luck And had to depend on a eighty year old man to drive her to the Opry house..Now she is gone but not forgoten by the fans Now all you hear is how much the Opry people love each other..

  • Love this sweet sounding cougar.

  • Wow. She sure looked beautiful at all stages of life. Great voice. A Nashville legend!

  • What a shame she had such a tough life. But you wouldn't know it from this clip.

  • She was years ahead of Dolly and Reba, would have been a bigger star then both of them had she not been killed in a car crash.

  • I swear that looks like the Cheynne Saloon in Orlando

  • @pickledtink1 it is

  • This wasn't long at all before she passed was it?

  • sorry song writer, she was killed in a car accident. Yes she did have a great voice

  • Great Singer, Wish she was still with us

  • The one and only wonderful Dottie. What a lovely and talented lady. She puts so much warmth into this song and to think of her no longer being with us in person is too sad . I am so thankful that YouTube has the great traditional country music for us to enjoy. Thank you for posting this treasure. - Paula

  • Dotty West was a class act . Most woman singers can,t ssing today. Give me Dotty, Pasty ,Lorretta any day.

Taylor is the worse singer I ever heard

  • Truly a great one !!!

  • I totally agree i loathe the singers like taylor and carrie singing trash that aint even country. There too overrated where dottie is underrated and not even in the country music hall of fame. shes been dead for 20 years. A true star.

  • Her version of this that was released for radio matched Ray Price's version and that is a compliment coming from me!

No nashville female wannabe today could touch her!

  • @dgtxdutch ... Spot on, my friend. What we get TODAY is Taylor Swift!! She will never be able to hold a candle to Dottie or Connie Smith or Barbara Mandrell... I could go on and on, but you get the idea.

  • @joepilot48 And we have not even compared Taylor Swift to "The Cline"! There is NO comparison!

  • The great dottie west should be in the country music hall of fame this women is the cats.lol rest in peace ms.dottie.

  • There'll never be another lady like Dottie West!!! She deserves and should be in the Country Music Hall of Fame! What a shame today's ladies didn't learn from her and the other great country ladies.

  • @cmlbob i know its foolish she isnt in the hall of fame

  • Beautiful Dottie. I have loved this song of hers forever. It's my favorite of all of her songs. There will never be anyone to compare with her. Whether she was doing some duos or just singing on her own she was unforgettable. So classy and and so charming. I do miss her so.

Thank you for posting this winner. - Paula

  • i love her bob makie out~fit...!

  • Oh How I Just Luv This Song, sung By Dotty of course. Im Dedicating This To The Love Of My Life,Who, Yes Has Come Back !!!!! We Know You Are Singing In Heaven Dottie. RIP There Will Never Be A Voice Like Yours Again !

  • God Bless rhe "Queen Of Country Music"

    Dottie rest in peace

  • God that Voice! BEAUTIFUL. Yeah, she looks so 80s, but she was so hot.

  • Dottie's phrasing was a`bit like Diana Ross??

  • I love Dottie West, she was so great! I met her in 1989 in Independence, MO., and she was sssooo nice, and looked and sounded just as great in person. :)

  • Dottie was great! Loved her and her music...just wish she had better luck with the men in her life....

  • The Diana Ross Of Country music!!!!

  • Dottie is the reason I started listening to country music. She will always be my favorite. She is stunning and her talent is unriveld.

  • well guess wat im related to her

  • Awesome. I just love her."Dottie" was the first album I heard and was blown away. I saw her several times and she and her voice were flawless. One was a small setting and I was in the level above the floor (only two levels) and I guess maybe she felt a connection because she walked through the lower level tables to shake my hand. No one else. A moment never forgotten. I've only recently been able to listen to her music, it made me to sad, I miss her. I didn't "know" her but it's how I feel.

  • was she a natural redhead???

  • An ALL time favorite, thank you so much for posting, Any women can relate to this one. (at some time or another!) :)

  • she smells like bacon, eggs, fried bread and beans

  • There will always be only one Dottie West. She was talented, beautiful and had a great personality. I always admired her for strength and her ambition in her career. She is an Icon for sure and no matter how many other singers get top billing they still can't touch her for all around stardom. This is my favorite of hers altho it's hard to actually pick one. "Country Sunshine" is hard to beat too. Thank you for posting. - Paula

  • She is in heaven!

  • If she had not died she would have been up there with Reba and Dolly

  • I think she is up there with Reba and Dolly. Dottie West is a legend, her place in history is made.

  • i totally agree with you dottie was one of the best...but it sucks she died but to die a hero is unbelievable

  • Great job by the legendary Dottie West. I love it !!

  • This video is great. Can you put on Dottie West and Kenney Rogers " Together Again Live" Thanks

  • I want more Dottie on CD lol

  • Wow! Another great song by a Great lady! Dottie seemed to sound as good in person as on record.... a feat not all entertainers and claim! Got to see her one time live; great show...in the 70's not 80's or 90's when she was more popular I guess. Post more if you have them!! Thanks
