I enjoyed this very much. I've been a pilot for several years, but I can feel the same excitement these two boys did. In aviation every flight is a new experience.
That instructor is the most ignorant pilot I've ever seen. I'm 14 and I know that your supposed to be at least 500ft. off the ground unless you are coming in for final. Retards.
Im guessing American, cause im pretty sure that in England, a flight instructor wouldnt let 2 kids take off, the first time they,ve flown, and they definitaly not fly THAT low in the air.
Come on... Do you read AOPA pilot? Do you know the FAA is cracking down on low altitude flying? And their definition of at congested area is constantly changing on a case by case basis. It looks like those kids had a great time, but you should set a good example and fly responsibly. Next time resist the temptation to wow your passengers. How bad would you feel if you crashed and killed one of them?
I would love to fly a plane. But, I can't do it because my parents want me to wait till I graduate high school. i wanted private flying lessons, but my parents r too worried that i'd die in a crash on my first day.
you should tell them that they should not worry about you crashing. the odds are greater that you'd be in a car crash than a plane crash. there are thousands (if not hundreds of thousands) more car crashes than plane crashes each year. and MANY MANY more fatal crashes... they probly want you to wait so that you can pay for them. they are a bit pricey...
+Well not exactlly breaking a FAR , it says 500 feet above anything in a 1,000 foot radius in other then heavly poulated area , or in a place where in the event of engine failiure a landing would be made possible without damage to any property...but that was still a bad idea.
n cessna172fly, u know ur not supposed to log the hours on the ground right? cuz u would really only be taxing or doing pre/post flight operations, wich isnt counted as air time.
HAHA, can that kid even see over the instrument pannel??! i fly a beechcraft king air b200 twin engine and i dont think he would be able to see a thing, hes haven trouble lookin out the windo on the door.lol. its kewl tho.
Nice Video! I too began learning to fly when I was young(15, 10 years ago)but in my country(Spain). I flew a C152 as well as the C172 and I am now happy to say that I am now on the right seat of Iberia A320 series jets(As of 5 weeks ago, before that I flew regional jets).
